Sale to commence each day at 10 o'clock, A. M. LEONARD & CO A UCTIONEEKS. \V. !•-. BKOWN AND COMPANY, PRINTERS, No. do Bromfield Street. lOAN STAOt In introducing the present Catalogue, it is perhaps necessary to say a few words in explanation of its present condition. There will be found duplicates of important Works, and of many others of less value. Some are wanting in volumes to complete, owing, it is be- lieved, to their having been lent or taken from the library and not returned ; these, however, are of small account, and few in number. The books now sold are all from Mr. Webster's library, and owned by him, or a few by his Son, or other members of his family^. No books from other owners have been introduced into the Catalogue. Many of the books have his autograph ; some are not mentioned as having it, but will be stated so at sale. The Pamphlets, Addresses, Speeches, Orations, etc. in bound volumes, are indexed by Mr. Web- ster in his own autograph. The most important deficiency is the fourth volume of Audubon's great work, which his fatally never re- member to have been in possession of, or to have received. There are in the library many important works on Parliamentary and Political History, Debates, valuable Historical and Philological Works, Encyclopedias, Works on Natural History, etc. The books generally have been taken good care of, are well bound, and in fine condition.
