C, April 11, 1900, Sir: I have the honor to inclose herewith reports from the collectors of customs at Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New Orleans, in accordance with the request contained in the re.solution of the House of Representatives of April 2, 1900, calling for the names of persons, tirms, and corporations who. from time to time, have paid customs duties on goods and articles of every description which have entered the United States from Porto Rico since the treaty with Spain, with the articles and amounts paid by each and the dates of such paj^ments.
