Thompson, Astor Library, New York City. New York City. Philadelphia, Pa. Lockport, Niagara Co., N. Y. Newark, Essex Co., N. J. Searsport, Waldo Co., Me. NOTE. Since the vote of the Trustees was passed, in February of this year, to publish a Semi-centennial Catalogue of the College, with the occupations and residences of the Alumni, no pains have been spared to obtain the information necessary for making it a complete and accurate record. In addition to the use of the Register, in which the Alumni recorded their names at the Semi-centennial Anniversary of the College last year, and which contains the names, occupations and residences of nearly seven hund- red graduates, the triennial catalogues of Theological 'Seminaries and Medical Schools, the ministerial Registers of four denominations, and the Directories of several of the larger cities have been consulted, and more than five hundred circulars and four hund- red letters of inquiry have been sent to classmates, and to clergymen, and others in the native places of a large number of the Alumni, of whose present residence nothing was known. Yet in some instances the most diligent investigations have been fruit- less. The names of those who have been graduated more than twenty years, of whom no information has been obtained, are as follows : 1827, W. M. Johnston; 1829, N. Petrokokino; 1831, J. Orgain; 1833, J. F. White; 1835, D. M. Fackler; 1837, D. Leeds; 1840, A. B. Campbell ; 1841, E. Coburn; 1842, G. Warren; 1843, C. Holmes. Any errors which may be found in the Catalogue must be imputed to unreliable sources of information, except where changes of residence or of occupation, or deaths, have occurred since the Catalogue went to press. It must be evident to the Alumni that such a Catalogue as this cannot be made ac- curate and reliable, without the zealous cooperation of each class THROUGH ITS SECRE- TARY. Such cooperation is, therefore, respectfully and urgently solicited. The facts desired, which should be communicated promptly, without waiting for further inquiries to be made, are as follows 1. Changes of residence. 2. Ordinations. 3. Degrees of A. M., LL.B., M. D., Ph. D., and all honorary degrees. 4. Professorships in Colleges and Professional Schools, with the name of the Insti- tution and the Department in each instance. 5. Present occupation : /. e., whether Pastor, acting Pastor, Licentiate or without charge ; Physician, Lawyer, Judge, (and of what Court), Teacher, Editor, Farmer, Manufacturer, Merchant, Banker, Broker, Insurance Agent, or Government officer, &c., &c. 6. The names of deceased graduates with the year of death and the age. AN OBITUARY RECORD of deceased graduates is published every year, for which information is also solicited.
