In response to many inquiries, the Public Library Commission issues the accompanying lists of books for the convenience of teachers and others interested in the selection and purchase of books for school libraries in North Dakota. The lists are taken from many sources, credit being given the compiler when known. The list prepared by grades is adapted for rural schools also, the grades being merely an index to the age of pupils for whom the books are suitable. ſº The prices of books fluctuate and the actual cost at the time of purchase may vary a few cents from the figures given in the second column. These quotations were made by reliable firms and are printed to show the economy of buying through agents entitled to the discounts. The Public Library Commission is at all times willing to furnish quotations and to aid in the purchase of books for schools. . - Address correspondence to the secretary and director - - MRS.
