fourteenth day of May, as
recommending on that day the planting of
trees and shrubs, and requesting that the
school children receive special instruction
in the importance of our forests, in
kindness to beast and bird, and in all
the pleasant ways of nature.
Given under my hand and seal of the State, at the Capitol in
Hartford, this Sixth day of May, in the year of our
Lord, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and the independ-
ence of the United States, the one hundred and thirty-third.
