i Emblem, I hereby designate Friday, the fourteenth

I recommend that on that day the people of Connecti-
cut display the National Flag from all public buildings, from
the schoolhouses, from places of business and from their
homes, in token of their loyalty to our flag and in grateful
acknowledgment of the sacrifice of Soldiers, sailors and
patriots to win the benefits of our liberty and of our
government, of which the flag is the symbol.
Given under my hand and seal of the State, at the Capitol in Hartford,
this Thirtieth day of May, in the year of our Lord, one thousand
nine hundred and seven, and the independence of the United States,
the one hundred and thirty-first.
