'" County Council Chambers, • "^ Napanee, lane 8th, 1898 To the Warden and Councillors : Gentlemen :— We, your committee on Roads ^nd Bridges, report as follows : — ,• At the request of the Chairman of this committee we met in Napanee on Monday, June 6th» and proceeded to the site of Kingsford bridge, wher^; we met a committee of Hastings County Council, who in compauy with your committee proceed- ed to examine said bridge and the abutments therefore. A careful and thorough examination of the timbers of the bridge and abutments convinced your committee that the timbers ''were so badly decayed and rotten as to rendcif the brkiRe ufisafe for public travel. Your committee wer^ unable to decide whether the abutments could be repaired or would have have to be rebuilt.
