Browse's combination of hot water and hot air, is in oper- ation all over the building, by means of whioh a healthy, pleasant and equal temperature is always maintained. Oas is used throughout the College, thereby insuring both the health and safety of the inmates. The grounds have been planted with ornamental and fruit trees as well as shrubs and email fruits. All this combines to render it most attrac- tive as a BOMB, and the watchful care of the fiMulty extends to the physical comforts, moral and religious character, and hygienie needs of the citudents, as well as to their mental education. No day pupils are received, as all are required to board in the building, so that a most careful oversight may be maintained. In order to prepare .the studf/nts for their life-work and usefulness, a system of domestic training has been intro- duced, so that each student has one hour a day in this branch of instruction which is so important for their health and habits of life. This feature in our course has secured us the commendation and patronage of some of the best families in the land. The full curriculum used in the best Colleges is in force, and embraces English in all its branches ; Music, Vocal and Instramental ; the Classics, and the French and Ger- man languages. The Art Department includes : Drawing in Crayon and Water Colors, and Oil Painting; and the Ornamental Department embraces instruction in Wool- work, Wax Fruits and Flowers, Lace, etc. Students who take a full course and pass a satisfiBAiory examination, receive the Degree of Mistress of English Literature when the English Course only is takoi, and that of Mistress of Liberal Arts when it includes the languages and classics. Although there is no assistance from a denominational source, or from any shareholders, yet this College has had an excellent attendance, the average being from eighty to eighty-five students, all boarders, and the pledges of future patronages are most encouraging. The price of board and tuition in all of the hranehes taught, is lees, it is believed, in this College than in any other Institution in this, country.
