 I 
 
 The Church Needle- 
 
 I. The Society shall be called 
 work Society of New BrniiBwick." 
 
 II. No alteration shall be made in the Gonbtitution of 
 this Society, nor shall any rule or regulatioB of the Society 
 be repealed, cancelled, or altered, except at a General Meet- 
 ing of the Society, by the vote of at leattt two-thirds of the 
 members present. 
 
 III. The payment at any one time of a sum irot less than 
 $12 shall constitute a Life Member, and a payment annually 
 of the sum of $1 shall constitute the person paying the same 
 a Member of the Society ; provided that no Member shall 
 be qualified to vote at a General Meeting of the Society 
 unles£ she be a Life Member, or shall have subscribed and 
 paid at least 91 during the year preceding such meeting. * ' 
 
 ly. No repeal, canoellation or alteration shall be pro- 
 posed, except by a Member qualified to vote at the Anni- 
 versary Meeting, whose name shall be entered on the Minutes 
 by the Secretary, together with the said proposition. 
 
 V. Gentlemen may become Honorary Members, or Life 
 Members only, on payment of the snma prescribed by the 
 Society.

 I. The Officers of the Society shall be a President, tw» 
 or more Vice-Presidents, a Treasurer, and a Secretary. 
 
 II. Any Life Member may at any Anniversary Meeting 
 be elected a Vice-President of the Society. 
 
 III. The Secretary and Treasurer shall be annually elected 
 at the Anniversary Meeting; and in case of the death, 
 resignation or removal from the Province of any such officer^

 the vacancy shall be filled up by the Executive Committee 
 at its next or subsequent meeting within the year ; and the 
 President shall have power to call a special meeting of the 
 Executive Committee for the purpose of filling any such 
 vacancy. • i . ; i

 I. There shall also be an Executive Committee, to bo 
 composed of the following members, viz : — 
 
 The Officers of the Society, as provided for in the next 
 preceding Article : 
 
 Six Members of the Society, exclusive of the Officers of 
 the Society, being Life Members, or annual subscribers of 
 at least $1. 
 
 IT. Three Members of Executive Committee, in addition 
 to the Ofiicers of the Society, shall form a quorum. 
 
 III. The Executive Committee shall meet in Fredericton 
 on the first Friday in January and April, the first Friday 
 after the Annual Meeting, and on the first Friday in 
 October.

 I. The Society shall hold its Anniversary Meeting at 
 Fredericton on the first Wednesday in July in each year. 
 
 II. A special General Meeting may be called at any time 
 by the President, or in his absence, by any two or more 
 Vice-Presidents, one week's notice being first given in 
 writing by the Secretary. 
 
 The Society shall embrace the following objects and none 
 other, viz : — ;; - / 
 
 I. The Honor and Glory of GOD, and His Body the 
 Church.

 to enhance the solemnity and reality of the Worship and 
 Presence of Christ in His Church. 
 
 III. The providing of proper Ecclesiastical work and 
 embroidery suitable and necessary for the service of the 
 Sanctuary. 
 
 IV. The encouragement and furtherance of the proper 
 Architectural arrangement of the Chancels of Churches. 
 
 I. On application for the Society's work the following 
 details are required : — 
 
 1. The arrangement and dimensions of the Chancel of 
 any Church requiring a Carpet or Altar Cloth, or both. 
 
 2. A correct account from the Hector or Missionary of 
 any Parish applying, of the description and number of 
 the Ecclesiastical work already in use in the Sanctuary 
 of his Church. 
 
 II. No Carpet or Altar Cloth will be worked by the So- 
 ciety for any Church, unless the arrangement of the same 
 be agreeable at least to the minimum standard plan of the 
 Society. 
 
 III. The funds of the (Society are to be devoted solely to 
 the purchase of materials for the work of the Society. 
 
 IV. Not less than one half of the cost of the materials 
 must be defrayed by those receiving the work of Society. 
 Exceptional cases will be dealt with at the discretion of the 
 Society. 
 
 V. No design will be accepted and adopted for the work 
 of the Society without consulting the Honorary Architect 
 of the Society.
