No bet on any game of cards or billiards shall exceed one dollar. No game of any kind shall be played in the Club-house on Sunday. SECRETARY AND MANAGER. As Manager, he will have the general control and superintendence of the establishment under the Committee. As Secretary, he will attend all meetings of the Committee and Active Committee, note their resolutions, and minute them in the books of their proceedings. It shall be the duty of the Secretary to be present during the balloting for members and also at the Annual Meeting, and perform such duties in connection therewith as the Committee may direct. HOUSEKEEPER. The Steward will coiistantl}' reside in the Chil)- house, and will have the custody of the plate, cutler}', china, etc.: will receive and check all supplies of provisions, keepin*; an account of their weight and quantity, which he will report weekly to the Secretary; and will see that good order and economy are maintained in the ser- vants' hall. He will have the general control and superintendence of all the men-servants, and be responsible for their conduct and cleanly ap- pearance, and tliat they carry out the different duties assigned to them, and in case of miscon- duct will report the same to the Manager. He will make the established charges for all provisions, wines, etc., and cast up and receive from the members the amount of their bills. He will have the custody of all wines, liquors, cigaxS, etc., as issued to him by the Manager. He will account daily to the Secretary for all moneys received from the members, and give in an account of all amounts due by members for supplies. He will be charged with any defici- ency that may occur in the stock of wines, lifjuors, cigars, etc., placed in his custody. COOK.
