In accordance with notices issued to all the members of the FisJi and Game Protection Club of the Province of Quebec, the inaugural meeting of the Fish and (jAme Cluh was held this day at the Rooms in Notre Dame Street, temporarily engaged from the proprietors ot the Bodega. Present : Messrs Matthews, Nelson, Torrance, Boyer, Henshaw, Watt, Saunderson, Goodacre, Sutherland, Stearns, Coristine, Fenwick, Rintoul, Appleton. Ahern and Carter. Mr. Boyer was unanimously elected to the Chair. Moved by Mr. Matthews, seconded by Mr. Rin- toul, that the Constitution and Rules be accepted, as read by the Chairman. — Carried. The following members were elected as a Com- mittee of Management : Messrs Boyer, Ahern, Rintoul, Henshaw and Saunderson. S The affairs of this Club shall be managed by a com- mittee of five members, to be chosen at an Annual General Meeting of the Club to be held on the first Wednesday in May of each year; said Committee to retire at the q\m\ of the year but to be eligil)le for re-election, tt The annual subscription shall be Three Dollars payable on entrance, and on the first of May in each, subsequent year •y No me.uber elect to be admitted to the privileges of the Club until the subscription fee is pnid. Any member who may .not have paid his annual sub- scription within one month after the due date may be struck ofT the Roll of the Club should his failure to do so not be ex* plained to the satisfaction of the Committee, 8 Members may resign at any time by giving notice in writing to the Secretary. O The Committee shall, from among their number, choose a President and Secretary-Treasurer. Three shall form a quorum, lO* No member shall be liable for more than his Annual Subscription nor for any debts contracted by or in the name of the Club. — 4 »» •- RULES. 1 Members may introduce non-residents oi Montreal to the privileges of membership for the term of two weeks by entering their names in a book to be kept for that purpose. fZ Special Meetings of the Club may be called by the President on the requisition of five members. 3 The Committee shall have power to make such rules and regulations from time to time as they may think advisa])le 4: No member shall take away from the Club any news- paper, pamphlet, book or other article belonging to the'Club, 5 The election of officers of the Club shall be by ballot.
