That the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary, shall be members of the Committee, /ex officio.) 4 — That all officers of this Society, and members of the Commities shall be resident or ocbupiers of Land in the London District, and that no member shall have a right to ballot oi vote at any Election of this Society, unless he shall at the time be a resident or an owner or occupier of Lane* in the said Distirict, and shall have paid his Subscriptions. 5. — That aa annual subscription of 5s., shall entitle any person to eb- come a member of this Society, and shall be considered as such, and his subscriptions shall be considered as justly due to the Society, until he shall have glverf notice (in writing) to the Secretary of hi? intention to withdraw it. 6. — That all subscriptions shall be considered due on the 25th day of March in every year, and shall be paid Into tho hands of the Treasurer or Secretary, or collectors appointed by the Committee for receiving the same, on or before the 1st day of July it^ each and every year. 7. — That the avinual general meeting of«his Society shall be hodden on the last Tuesday in September, at St. Thomas, in the said District at tea oVIock in tlm forenoon. 8. — That the President, if present, or in his absengp one of the Vice- Presidents, if any bo then present, shall preside at and r^ulate the proceed- ings of all meetings, but that in the absence of the President and Vice* Presidents, the members present, if they sh»ll have Ijlited till the proper time, and shall amount to the number herein named to constitute a meeting, shall have authoriiy to elect from amongst tbemselires a Chairmari for the day, and shall proceed to bi^siness. 9. — That the Commiitee of superintendence shall meet on the day be- faie the general meeting at 12 o'clock, at Saint Thomas, for the purpose of arranging the business thereof, that all accounts ot inis Society shall be examined and balanced by the Committee at this meeting, ancTshall be pro» clijced fairly written out, signed by ttie Chairman and two other members of the committee to the annual general meeting ; that five members ol" the committee shall form a quorum for transacting the business of this meeting 10._That the Committee shall at ali times be at liberty to call for and examine all the accounts of the Society. 11. — That whenever meetings of the committee are about to take place the Secretary shall give notice thereof (by letters) to the President, Vice- Presidents, and metnbers of the Committe. 12. — That the Committea shall appoint the Stewards of Uie annual geueral meeting, and the several Judges nocessary for deciding Premiums. 13. — That all offices belonging to this Society, shall be honorary, and served without fee or reward. 14. — That a list of such bounties or premiums as the Society may think fa to ofler shall in future be printed in a small pamphlet in each and every year, (if required) and the Secretary shall send such list of Bounties and Premiums to every (nember as soon ^s printed. 15. — That every candidate for a premium fur Stock, shall deliver at least eight days before the (l^y of exhibition an account (in writing sealed up) to the Secretary, of the nature, pedigree, and age of his stock, to the best of his knowledge. 16. — That all Stock shewn for Premium, mi|st be the property of the Exhibitor, and no person to receive the first premium in two successive years for the same animals. 17, — That no person shall be a Judge in any matter or be present at any debate hi which he may be interested, and if any person shall become a candidate for any Premium or Bounty, and shall obtain such premium or bounty under f^lse pretences, he shall be forever excluded from being a member of this Society. ' 18.-— That all drafts upon the Treasurer shall be signed by the Chair- man and two other mem|}ers present. 19 — That the Committee shall appoint six Judges for the various stocks, who shall all sign their reports and deliver them (sealed) to the President ; that the Committee ij^all also appoint two Stewards of the annual meeting and 8how. 20. — That all Stock intended to be shewn for premiums, shall be bro't iiUo Show Field or place appointed for the exhibition, before ten o*clock iii the forenoon, and shall remain there till thr^e o'clock in the afternoon, or shall be otherwise disqualified and excluded from the show of the day, if the Committee shall so determine. 21.— That the f^tocjc to be exhibited shall be arranged in proper order by the Stewards of (he meeting, who must attend at the place ol exhibition from nine o'clock in the forenoon, till the whole is arranged ; it shall also be the duty of the Secretary to assist the Stewards till the annual meeting begirig.- • •, rv , , •.,,., 22. — Tliat the Judges shall as soon as possible after the Slock is arrange ed, proceed to examine the lots shewn in each class, having decided on their merits, shall return and write their reports, and deliver the same (seal- tiii./ us soon as possible to the Chairmao.
