Tlie Coniuiittee have to submit to the subscribers their report on the affairs of the Home ^or the past year. And it affords them much pleasure to state, the efficiency of the Home has been well maintained, and the support received most liberal. During the year ten children have been admitted, principally from Nanaimo, and the Mainland. The number in the Home at present is thirty-two; scv^en- teen boys and fifteen girls. Although there has been some sickness in the Home during the year, the children have on the whole enjoyed good health, and the thanks of the committee are again due to Dr. Milne, for professional services, and valuable advice as to sanitary arrange- ments etc. i ¥, The inanut^t'iiuMif of tlio lionic l>y the Matron jVIrs. One Minister of each Protestant denomination as aforesaid, in quarterly rotation, shall be the Min- ister or Chaplain of the orphan s with pastoral authority over them for that time as over a portion of his own flock, providing he do not in the exercise of t-uch authority violate any Bulo of this Consti- tution. 9, No alteration shall be made in this Constifcation except by a vote of two-thirds of the whole Com- mittee sanctioned by a majority of the subscribers present at a general meeting, of which thirty day's notice shall be given. Such notice to specify the changes recommended for the consideration of the meeting. 10. It shall be lawful for the Committee from time to time to make, vary, and alter by-laws for the government of the institution, and for all matters and things relatiug to the conduct and management of its affairs, provided that the same be not inconsistent with the foregoing Constitution, and that notice of any proposed alteration be given at a regular meeting of the Committee at least one month previously to such alteration being made.
