 At a Meeting of the Inhabitants of the Township of PICKERING, held at the Court House in 
 the Village of Duffin's Creek, on Saturday, the 24th of August, 1848, ind ronvened for t "purpose 
 of raising by public subscription, a sum of money to be "offered as a Be.vard, for the diLoverv 
 and conviction of the incendiaries who set fire to the Dweli.ng House and Barn of 31 1' Jordan 
 Post, in their Township, on the nights of the 18th and 20th of August, as well as to give public
