SCHEDULE RATmG. I li nil! The following: schedules for rating various classes of manufac- turinp establislinnntp, are given for the information only of the agent, the rating of risks subject to schedule rating being reserved for the officers of the Association. The riitinps of risks which have been schedule rated by the Asso- ciation are to be found in the rating sheets separately issued. An agent obtaining or renewing a risk on a factory, of a class subject to schedule rating, which may not have already been schedule rated, must take an application from the assured on an application form which has been 8j)ecially adopted by the Companies for the pur- pose. The agent should take particular care that every question on application form )ertainingto the class of risk for which insurance is sought, is fully and precisely answered, and that a clear and accurate diagram is given, showing dimensions, commuuications between vari- ous buildings (if more than one,) of the same establishment or with any other adjoining buildings, also all buildings within 200 feet of the risk. Upon this application being placed before the Association by the Company taking the Insurance, the rate on the risk will be determin- ed iind promulgated by the Secretary, and the risk will be inspected when the Inspector for the Association shall be next in the locality in which it may be situated. In the event of the assured making any improvements in a risk which has been schedule rated, entitling the risk to a reduction of rate, a memorandum signed by the assured, specially describing the improvements made, must be filed with the Association, when the rate will be duly amended and promulgated subject however to cor- rection, should on subsequent inspection, the improvement be not found satisfactory. Ga.Ution. — No reduction from a rate can be made under any circumstances until sanctioned by the Association. Any Company for or agent taking or renewing schedule rated risk below the rate promul- gated by the Association, will incur the penalty of beiug required to cancel the risk. Deduction for Co-Insurance.— A deduction of i5 per cent, from the rating of all risks which have been schedule rated^ may be made by Companies if the 75 per cent. Co-Insurance clause is inserted in the policy. Deduction for Automatic Sprinklers.— When a factory is fully equipped with automatic sprinklers in accordance with standard for same, deduction of 15 per cent, from the total rate -will be made after inspection and approval by the Association. •When a risk is entitled to both allowances, deduct 30 per cent. from total rate. 58 manufac- ly of the J reserved the Asso- 1. )f a class schedule )plication r the pur- estion on urance is accurate 'een vari- '' or with feet of )n by the letermin- nspected 3 locality in a risk iction of bing the hen the r to cor- be not er any •any for Ipromul- iiired to of 15 ratedy clause '^hen a jrdance lal rate Ir cent.
