To be organized under an Act of Incorporation from the Provincial Legislature. The Property of this Company is located in the famous Sherbrookc Gold District, about 150 miles from Halifax, and 55 miles from New Glasgow, which is the terminus of the Halifax Railway. There is a convenient harbor adjoining the district, and a line of Packets to Halifax. The Sherbrookc District is the richest in Nova Scotia, and yielded, in 1866, the highest / average profit for labour of any Gold Pields in the world, producing no less than $1,382.86 per man. (See Government Report). During the last five months ending 31st August, 1867, according to the Official Statistics, the average number of men searcliing for lodes or mining, and the gold produced, was as follows : — April . - - - - May ----- June ----- Ji'iy August ----- MEN'. nzs. The Property of this Company comprises 47 Gold Areas, of three-quarters of an acre each, forming a compact square or block of land, and situated in what is believed to be the richest porlion of the district. Traversing the entire property from East to West, are many of the best paying lodes in Nova Scotia, among which are the well known "Dewar," "Stevenson," "Johnston," "Cumminger," "Wellington," and "l^luc" leads. All of these lodes have been opened and tested upon this property, and bid fair to be highly remunerative. Erom the "Pluc" lead, at a shaft only a few feet from this property, and in direct line of continuance therewith, the extraordinary yield of 146 ounces, from one ton, has been obtained, being the highest maximum yield ever obtained in Nova Scotia.
