 And whereas it is desirable to provide more efFectually for the 
 internal management and retaliation of the Hospital, aii<l for the other 
 purposes herein contained : 
 
 Therefore the Board •! Directors, under and b> virtu*- <»f the said 
 Statute, and under and by virtu* of their general powers in luw, make 
 the following - 
 
 I. BY-LAWS AND RULKS 
 
 1. All By -laws and Rule.Ni relating to tlio persons and matters 
 herein mentioned and provided for, heretofore passed by the Dire<;t<^rs. 
 shall, after the makin^j^ of these By laws and Rules, be and are hereb.v 
 repealed, in omc no other time shall be declared for the sam*; t« take 
 effect.

 1. Their meetings shall be presided over by the ('hairman, or, in 
 his absence, by one of the other Directors av>}-'oh)ted for the ornaision. 
 
 2. The Directors shall hold a general meeting weekly, if necessary, 
 for the <ii;,patch of business, at which any businesM witho\it sf>eciai 
 notice may be ti-ansactcd. 
 
 3. These meetings shall be called by a printed f»r written notice, 
 
 {)«cifying the day, hour and place of the proposed meeting, which 
 lall be delivered or iM)8ted to each Director, directed to hiTn by name, 
 at his usual place of business or residence, before (ho time of meeting. 
 
 4. The notice shall state whether it is a general or special meet 
 ing, and if a special meeting what the object of the meeting is, in at* 
 short and general terms as will enable fhe |Direct.or to undei*Htand the 
 nature of the business proposed to b" considered or transacteil ; and 
 every such notice shall be signed by the Secretary, and l>e delivered 
 or mailed by him lis aforesaid. 
 
 5. They shall consider at a special meeting no other busiiioss than

 13. They shall fix the salaries and wajfoi of all their employees,

 narily curable disease ; nor shall they admit any incurable patient, 
 unless with the »i)ecial sanction (»f the Directors, and they shall have every

 removed from the Hospital, unless such person is sjiecially allowed by 
 the Directors to remain ; and they shall ref>ort, when called u\H>n by 
 the tDirectors, whether their )>atients are in their opinion curable or 
 not. 
 
 l.'S. If the mai'ority of the Medical Officers are of opinion that the 
 liatient of any Medical Officer is incurable, such {>atieTit may be removed

 matter concerning the Hospital, or the estate, property, fundK of the

 3. He shall collect promptly all rents, Interest, moneyr due by

 VI. TIIK STEWARD. 
 
 1, The Steward shall have charge and supervision t»f the whi>lc

 2. He shall visit the resjxjctive wanis every morning^, and at all 
 times when he may think it necessary, and when instructed to dosoitj
