In the raising of live stock the outdoor pasturing averages 7 months and stable feeding 5 months. Sugar Beets have abo been found a profitable crop, netting S60 to $70 per acre. PRECIPITATIONS AND CLIMATIC CONDITIONS. The rainfall in Huron averages 26 to 27 inches for the last 30 years, producing sufficient iroisture to cause rapid growth and the maturing of all kinds of vegetation. The snowfall is comparatively heavy, with frequent winter thaws, but there is always a sufficient covering of snow on the ground during the coldest months to ptotect the fall sown Grain. Grass and Clover, and tender shrubs, from damage by winter frosts. The average mean temiwrature for the three summer and the three winter months for the last 13 years are as follows : .Tune C1.6. The quality of the water for domestic and stock punwses is the very best, and the quantity abundant, from wells and flowing springs. TRANSPORTATION AND MARKETS. The transjwrtation and market facilities are excellent. These Apples are considered of first (piality in si ., , color and flavor, and command the highest prices in the markets of Kuropo and America. This is owing to the natural (luality of the soil and the climatic conditions, so that, no part of the continent of America can produce apples more highly flavored or of better keeping ipiality. Last year the Province of Ontario was divided into five districts. District No. five desig- nated the Lake Huron and Georgian Bav' District, included the Counties of Lambton. Huron, Bruce and (irey.
