WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS FOR PALE PEOPLE ARE NCT A PATENT MEDICINE. ( THE SECRET OUT. THE INNER HISTORY OF A FAMOUS MEDICINE. Some Facts Concerning Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People— A Remedy Now Known the World Over— The Reason Why it* Sale has been so Enormous. ^^" Where do all these wonderful cures come from?" asked a reoresentativ* of "The Toronto Globe" recently, having obtained permission to interview the manager of the Dr. Williams Medicine Company. " They coma variously. Some are discovered by newspaper men, others are Iw^'jght to our attention by druggists, and others- again are communicated to us by the patients themselves. But whichever way they come to us they are all dealt with in one >tay. As soon as we learn that some specially remarkable cure' has been effected by the use of Dr. Williams' I'ink Pills, we take steps to have the patient seen by a perfectly independent newspaper reporter, and we arrange with the best local news- paper to publish exactly what their reporter finds to be the case. We should not think it right to trade on a false statement, or even on one slightly exaggerated. Our reputatjoi) iB made by the fact that the public know we are honest " " I presume your advertisements bring you in a vast business?" " We have a vast business. There is scarcely a habitable country on the face of the globe in which Pink Pills are not now used. Last year there was sold throughout the world the enormous total of more than two hundred million Pink Pills. But, after all. it is a mistake to believe that these vast sales are due alone to our advertising. If we had to depend only on the direct effect of our advertising we could ntver make a living. I ..uppose that the direct sales from advertising do not pcy the expense of more than half of it. The trade we live on is made by what one ctistemer tells another of the merits of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills." " What are the diseases that Dr. Williams' Pink PilU cure?" asked the reporter. The manager reached for a small book and cut out of it the following statement, whtch he handed to the reporter. It will he observed that it is a cold scientific state- ment, with no sensationalism, no exaggeration, no adjectives :— Poor and Watery Blood, After- Effects of La Grippe, An«fnia, E^ptions and Pimples, Chlorosis or Green Sickness. Sick Headache, D*"""***! Pale or Sallow Complexion, Pidpitation of the Heart, Swelling of Hands or Feet, Nervous Headache, GeneralDebility, L«M of Appetite, Depression of Spirits, udigestJon and Dyspepsia. Insomnia or Uks of Sleep, a^^ n Swelled Glands, Scrofula, Fever Sores, • ' Rickets, ' Recovery from Acute Diseases, such as Fevers, etc. All Female Weakness, Tartly or Irregular PericKls, Leucorrhoea, ' Suppression of the Menses, Loss of Vital Forces, Loss of Memory, Ringing in the liars. Vitus' Dance, Consumption of Bowels and Lungs, " But how can one medicine cure all these rhings?" asked the reporter. "Ah, that is where the secret of our success resides — though we make no secret of it, for that matter. Everything is fair and above board. We have a thing that is not like any other medicine. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills go to the very base of the disease, and cure the causes of it The disease itself, no matter what it is, begins to disappear the moment the cause is touched. It has then nothing to live oh. Pink Pills, to begin with, give strength, purity and richness to the blood, and thus root Out the whole host of diseases which depend on poor or vitiated blood — diseases such as ansemia, scrofuk, rheumatism, and so on. Then the remarkable property of the formula discovered by Dr. Williams comes into play. Other medicines that purify the system weaken it in doing so. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills strengthen, and only strengthen. They are thus specially adapted for women at a critical period, and they are at the same time such a splerKlid nerve and spinal tonic that they give nerve power to even the most nervous, and do away with symptoms that look lik« approaching old age. Thus are cured such things as locomotor ataxia and paralysis, diseases which the Royal College of Physicians and Surge<^ns think incurable, not to speak of neuralgia, headache, dizziness, indi- gestion, and premature old age in men and women alike." " One question more. Are Dr. Williams' Pink Pills expensive?" " Expensive to m.ike? Yes, as compared with other pills that have nothing out of tlie way in them. But they are not expensive to buy, considering their prompt and unmistakable effect A box costs 50 cents, and we send six boxes by faoail post paid for $3.50. This amounts to giving one box in free." " Oh, then you sell the pills by post ?" " Certainly. But they can be got just as wdl at shops ; only if bought at tlM shops you must be careful to see that the full name, ' Dr. Williams' Pink Pilb for Pale People,' is printed on the wrapper. If it isn't there the shopkeeper is t'ying to swindle you with a worthless thing. " Oh, yes ; and we are always pleased that they should do so, because we take a personal and direct interest in everyone who takes our medicine. Such letters always receive careful and prompt reply. NERVOUS PROSTRATION. Th« Victim Helpless and Ur»reliable— It Saps the Constitution and Makes One Involuntarily Ask, is Life Worth Living? Prom the Lindsay Post. It is at least commendable to bow before the inevitable. But what appears to be iaeriuble may be delayed or altogether averted. What were considered necessarily fotal diseases twenty-five or even ten years ago in many instances are not now placed ia that category— thanks to medical and scientific skill. Life is sweet. We must either control the nerves or they will master us. Hysteria may prove fatal. It renders the person afflicted helpless and unreliable, and casts a continual shadow upon a hitherto bright and cheerful life. Itsaps the constitution and makes one involuntarily ask, " Islife worth living?" Miss Fanny Watson, daughter of Mr. Henry Watson, hving on lot as, township of Somerville, Victoria county, is one of those whose life for years was made miserable from nervous disease. At the age of twelve Miss Watson met with an accident which so seriously affected her nervous system that during the subsequent five years she was subjected to very severe nervous prostration, resulting in convulsions with uncon- sciousness for three or four hours at a time. This condition continued until March last, when she had an increased and prolonged attack by which she was completely prostrated for the space of a fortnight. The disease » affected the optic nerve that Miss Watson was forced to wear glasses. Many remedies were tried, hut with no avail, and both Miss Watson and her friends feared that a core could not be obtamed. Ultimately Dr. Williams' Pink Pills were strongly recommended by various friends, and the young lady decided to give them a Uial. A half dozen boxes were bought. and by the time one box was used there was an improvement in her condition, and before the half dozen boxes were used Miss Watson was, to use her own words, a different person altogether. Her entire nervous system was reinforced to such an ex- tent that she is now able to dispense with the use of the glasses which previously failing eyesight had made necessary. Miss Watson is now a staunch friend of Dr. Williams nnk Pills, and says:—" I have pleasure in recommending them to all similarly afflicted." Rev. D. Millar, a friend of the family, vouches for the facts above set forth. A MINI STER'S STORY. For Five Months he vi^as Helpless, and Endured Agonizing Pains —Could neither Rise Up nor Sit Down vi^ithout Aid— He Telle How he Found a Cure. From tbcTiltonburg Obicrver. The Rev. C. H. Backhus is a resident of Bayham township, Elgin county. Ont, and there is probably no person in the county who is better known or more highly esteemed. He is a minister of the United Brethren Church. He also farms quite extensively, superintending the work and doing quite a share of it himself despite his advanced age. But he was not always able to exert himself as he can to-day, as a few years ago he underwent an illness that many feared would terminate his Ufe. lo a reporter who recently had a conversation with him the rev. gentleman gave the par- ticulars of his illness and cure, with permission to make the statement public. Ihe story as told by Rev. Mr. Backhus is substantially as follows -.—About three years ago he was taken ill and the doctor who was called in pronounced his trouble an attack of la grippe. He did not appear to get any better, and a second doctor was called in, but with no more satisfactory results, so far as a renewal of health was concwned. Following the la grippe, pains of an excruciating nature located themselves in his bodjr. He Kiew weaker and weaker, until at last he was perfectly helpless. He could not sit down nor rise from a sitting posture without assistance, and when with this assistance he gained his feet he could hobble but a few steps when he was obliged to be put in a chair again. For five months these agonizing pains were endured. But at last relitf so lonl delayed came. A friend urged him to try Dr. Williams Pink Pills. He vielderf to the advice, and had not been taking them long when the longed for relief was noticed coming. He could move more easily, and the stiffness and pains began to leave his joiatsT He continued the use of the pilU for some time longer and the cure was complete. Seeing Mr. Backus now it would be difficult to think of him as the crippled and fcelpless man of those pinful days. Mr. Backhus is now past his ^h v^r but. as he said. " by the aid of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills I am as able as those ten years yoiaiger. You can readily judge this when 1 tell you I laid forty rods of rail fence this year. Th«-e is nothing more interesting than the talk of our brave defenders, who have served theu- Queen and country in far disUnt lands. To talk with an Indian officer, hearing his reminiscences and adven- tures, IS what those who have enjoyed it always appreciate. Consequently (writes a special correspondent of the Hampshire Independent) I was de- lighted to receive instructions to interview Licutenant-General Shaw, who has won his spurs in India, and is now living, with his family, in honorable retirement, at St. Paul's Vicarage, Shanklin, Isle of Wight. I had grasped the bell-pull and given it one tug when the door opened, and the General stood before me. You knew he was a soldier at once. His manly, upfight bearing, his smile, his pleasant voice— all told you that you stood in the presence of one of Nature's gentlemen ; but, alas I he held a time-table, and I felt that the interview must needs be short. However, he ushered me in, and at once put me at my ease by his affable conversation. " I am afraid," he said, "that you have come a long distance; but let me LiEtmcNANT-GENKRAr. My daughter came home (k«m India, and when I joined her in London I found her ill in 'bed. She had rheumatic and neuralgic pains ; she was perfectly bloodless, listless, and in a generallv weak and prostrate condition. A doctor was seen, but she remained absolutely color- less, was in great wretchedness and suffering from anaemia or blood lessness. She had a kind of fever, nervous headache, and other pains. Well, I heard of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills for Pale People. My daug. 'er took some, and the first box had a marvellous effect. She regained her color, lost her pains, and became altogether different. She had quite a glow upon her. She went on taking the pills, and I am ^ad to tell you that she recovered completely. I have recommended Dr. Williams' Pink Pills to all with whom I came in conuet, and all who take them derive sreat benefit therefrom. * "I have a sister in Jersey, and she has taken them for a very long time, and has alwavs recommended them to other people, and found them to do a great deal of good to all to whom she has recommended them ; and I, myself, when I have heard of people being ill, have taken them or sent them some of these pills." an Reduoed ft*om 150 to 114 Pounds— Cured. Under his treatment 1 improved a little, but was far from well. In the next spring I had another atuck of la grippe, and this time I sent at once for the doctor. Tlie medicine he gave me did not agree with me, and I stopped taking it I was now reduced to a terrible con- dition. I had pains all through my body, and I los*. in flesh from 150 to 114 pounds. Nothing that I ate tasted good. I could not walk any distance, and could do but little work about the house, and after the least exertion would frequently have to go to bed. I got despondent and lost all hope of getting well, and my friends also thought there was no hope for me. Finally my mother gave me a box of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and urged me to take them. By the time I had used the box I felt more like eating, and thought this a good sign. 1 then continued their use for upwards of two months, with the result that my health wras fully restored. I regained my former weight, and am to-day as well as ever I was in my life. I believe Pink Pills saved me, and I can- not recommend them t >o highly. This II a very frequent occurrence in tliesc days of high pressure study, and one of the many unfoitunatia who suffered thus, but h.is now haiipily found relief, is Miss Lizzie K. M.irshall, of Lcniral Clarence, N.S, Despite all that was done for her, the disease grew worse as month after month parsed away, and both herself and friends feared she was dcx)med to an invalid's life. But a marvellous and |>crmanent cure has been wrought tlirough the agency of Dr. Wil- liams' I'iiik Pills, and the public will be inte- rested in reading the young lady's statement of her illness and cure, Miss Marshall says: — "About six years ago I was taken ill. At the outset home remedies were tried, but as they did no good a doctor was c.iUed in. He pronounced my trouble nervous prostration aad St. Vitus Dance, brought on by over study in school. I was under his care for about a year, but did not seem to improve, and he then suggested that a change of air and scene might be beneficiaL I followed his advice, and for a time seemed to get somewhat belter. However, soon after I returned home I was taken worse, and for ten weeks was confined to my bed in a slate of complete prostration. Our family physician w.as uniemilling in his attention, and under his care I was finally enabled to sit up, but beyond this there was no improvement in my condition. My nervous system seemed to be completely shattered, and I became so wvak that I could not walk about the house without assistance, and for two years I had to be carried up stairs. It is needless to s.iy th.\t I was quite discouraged, as nothing seemed to afford me more than temporary relief. For five years I was in this weak, wretched and despairing condition, when finally I resolved to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, of which 1 had heard and read a great deal, a trial. Ailer I had used two boxes ( felt somewhat better, and determined to continue the treatment, and did so until I had used twelve boxes, all the time gaining health and strength rapidly, I have recovered nil my old-time he-.ilih and strength, have a splendid appetite, and can walk a long distance without feeling tir<-d. Miss Ada Smith, I^ibnico Head, N.S., siiys : — " I take grct plensure in certifying to the value of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills in cases of anaemi.a. I scarcely know how my illness began, it came so gr.adually. My first symptom w.-is a tired feeling, followed by a loss of ap|)elite and palpi'ation of the heart. I cont.nued to grow weaker, an4 finally could not go upstairs without resting on the way up, and the slightest exertioB would cause a pain in the chest. The color left my face, and I became deathly white. This was in the summer of 1894, and as I continued getting weaker a doctor was called in. He told me my blood w.os .all turned to water, and that had I delayed two months longer there would have been no hope for me. He prescribed for me, but failed to improve my condit on. I was at this time teaching school at Reynardtoa, and at the Christmas holidays when I returned home I was adv.sed by my friends to take Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, as they fe.ared I was going into a decline. I began their use, and on returning to my school I carried a half dozen bo ,:es with me. Bf the time I had used these I found my he.-illh fully restored. People marvelled at the change wrought in me, and on my personal recommend.ilion two of my friends decided to give Pink Pills a trial and were greatly benefited by using them. I can truly say that I owe my life to your valuable medicine, and am so grateful for what it has done for me that I freely give you jjermission to use this statement in any form you pleaac in the hope that it may bring relief to some similar sulTerer." Nepvousness and Rheumatism Cuped. Miss A. E. Martin, Milford, N.B., SJiys : — " I desire to add my testimony to that of the many who are speaking in favor of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I was deUcat« from childhood, and being a teacher by profession the strain made still further havoc with my system. Then followed, as a result of a severe cold, an attack of rheuma- tism. I was advised to try Pink Pills, and it wiis not many days after I b^an their use before I felt that they were doing me good. The pains began to leave my joints and muscles and I began to acquire a strength I had not had in years before. In a- word. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS CURE ALL FORMS OF FEMALE WEAKNESS. DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS FOR FEMALE TROUBLES. Pure Wood is the secret of heaJth and beauty. The f-Mtures may be regular, the fkxm ^rfect, but no woman can be beautiful in the full sense of the word while sulJer. ing from any of the peculiar ailments of her sex. Disease destroys the complexion, is productive of wrinkles and premature old a^e. Regular monthly uterine action is •ecessary to every woman's health, and if this function of life is checked, disease, a pole and sallow complexion, and a feeling of exhaustion, are the result. The monthly aecretlons must continue from fhiberty to the Turn of Life without unnatural obstruc- tion. Any breach of this law of nature will result in the distressinK symptoms which make the lives of seven-tenths of the women of this country miserable, almost unbear- able. A few of these symptoms are severe headaches, loss of appetite, pale or sal- low complexion, palpitation of the heart, swollen ankles or legs, nervousness, offensive breath, etc., etc. The sufferer may exhibit one or more of these symptoms, or may hav« all. They simply indicate the ravages disease has made upon the i^stem, and the more of these symptoms the patient shows, the ^eater the necessity for prompt and persistent treatment, until they have been banished, and the bloom of health has been restored. To accomplish this end. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills are the only unfailing remedy. They positively cure all suppressions and irregularities, which, if neglected, inevitably entail sickness and trouble. By taking these pills for a week or ten days before the expected return of each period, the prompt appear- ance of the " visitor" is insured. For suppressions, the pills must be taken steadily «ntil the reappearance takes place — generally in a month's time, sometimes less. Follow the directions on the pamphlet about each box. Nursing women will find their milk improved in quality and quantity by taking these pills ; and also obtain relief from the pain in the back, and generally dragged out feeling. All displace- ments from weakness of the Uterine Ligaments are speedily relieved and ultimately cured by the faithful use of these pills. Leucorrhoea, bearing down, weight in the pelvis, and all Female Weakness, find speedy relief and cure in the administration of the Pink Pills for Pale People. Note.— Pregnant women are cautioned not to take these pills until after the fourth month. For full directions see pamphlet around each box. Mrs. M. Robertson, Plainville. writes :— " When I began taking your Pink Pills I was so weak that I could scarcely go abou? |he house, and at times it seemed as if my Jieart had ceased to beat. I had almost reached that stage when I thought medicine could do me no good, but at last 1 commenced taking Pink Pills. The result has been ■wonderful. I am now able to spin all day, using an old-fashioned wheel, and walking back and forth all day as I draw out the thread. I am grateful for what Pink Pills have done for me, and believe the Master has given you a grand work to do." The Change of Life. The most critical period in the lif*; of woman is that attending the cessation of menstruation, or as it is more generally termed, the change or turn of life. The symptoms attending this period are fainting spells or attacks of falntness, a* giddiness, headache, general debility, exhaustion, a feeling of melancholy, hysteria, pain in the loins or limbs, hypochondria, etc. The change is a gradual one— for better or worse— for the former if ihe patient is wise enough to fortify the system against the ravages of the symptoms attending the change. For this purpose no remedy ever discovered equals Dr. Williams'^ Pink Pills. They purify the blood by acting directly upon the sexual system, lessen the severity of this critical period, and flntUly leave the patient in the enjoyment of robust h«alth. My trouble began four years ago when I was ill and had to undergo an operation for ulceration of the womlx Afterwards, I suppose from the coming change of life, 1 became so weak th.it I could not move more than a few sti ps without suffering from palpitation of the heart, and sometimes fainting spelts. I was as pale as death, and nut able to do my housework. Two doctors attended me, and although they did all in their power for me I felt that I was sinking into my grave. What I underv/ent can scarcely be described. Finally the doctor told me that he had done all he could for me and co' hold out no hope of a recovery to health. Then my friends urged nie to try Dr. Williams' Pink I'ills, and while in this desperate condition I be^an their use. By the time I had taken six boxes I was wonderfully improved. The fainting spells had gone and the pains had almost disappeared. I could eat a hearty meal and n.id increased in weight. By the time I had taken ten boxes I w.is able to do my own housework, and from that out I have enjoyed the Ix^st of health. I have recommended Pink Pills to many others and they say they never used any medicine th.it did '.hem so much good. I am not anxious for publicity, but suffering as I did, I am anxious that others shall have the benefit of my experience to help them to a cure " Cuped after Hospital Tpeatment Failed. Mrs. L. Lundahl, levant, Ont., says:—" I have much pleasure In adding my testimony to the great efficacy of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. Some years ago T was severely injured in child-birth and had to go to the Kingston hospital to be operated on. I was in the hospital and under treatment for rtbarly two months, but flowing set in and all the skill of the doctors was unable to stop it. I went home, and after still suffering for three or four months, I determined to go to the hospital again, but fortun- ately for me an old lady on the cars, who noticed my emaciated and worn condition, asked ' what ails ^ou, my child?' I told her my trouble and she replied, 'before going to the hospital again give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a fair trial. 1 know they will help you.' I followed her advice, and after taking four boxes the flowing absolutely stopped. I took the pills for some time longer and my health was fully restored, and since then I have been both strong and active. I believe Dr. Williams Pink Pills are a blessing to women." Mrs. D. Later, Huntsville, Ont., says :— " I Iwve used Dr. Williams' Pink Pills in my family, and cheerfully bear testimony to thj fact that they accomplish all that is claimed for them." Weak and Nepvous—Cuped. Mrs. A. Ladd, wife of a well known farmer living near Caintoxm, Ont. , layt : — " For over two years 1 was ttoubled with weakness, nervousness and ipmeraf debility. I rvus emaciated and easily fatigued, and quite uneaual to the exertioa necessary to do my household work. I was advised to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and after the use of five boxes foi'nd my health fully restored. Pink Pills have also been of the greatest benefit to my daughter Gertrude, who. at the age of twelve, was attacked with pain in the back, dizziness and weakness. She looked pale and haggard and had a fickle appetite. I began giving her link Pills, and soon found that they were restoring her to health. Her appetite improved, her color returneheir daughter;] taking Dr. Williams' Pink Pills upon the approach of the period or puberty, ind .jus avoid all chances of disease or early decay. Weak, Bloodless and Nepveless— Cured. Mrs. Joseph Christie, Wolfville, N.S., writes; — " It is with great pleasure that I am enabled to give you this testimonial of the return to health of my daughter Hattie, through the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, ^bout a year age she was taken ill, and perhaps tne words 'female weakness' will best defcribe her condition. She became weak, thin and nerveless, her blood had turned to water, and she was as pale as it was possible to be. !f she went out for a short wulk she would return home in soch HH exhausted conditiou as to frighten me. We tried 9 number of medicines without avail, and I was ;.fraid we would lose lit. Finally I decided to give her Dr. Williams' Pink Piils, and I t^uw bless the day that I Hid so, for altei the use of five boxes you would not recognise her as the sickly, worn-out girl of a short time before. She continued taking the pills for some time long.r, and now her health is fully testored. She is strong and active and can walk for miles withoui being tired. I shah lose no opporttrnity of praising Pink Pills, und would urge all girls similarly ailing to Krvelbeni a trial" Miss Edith Lazier, a young lady living near Picton, Ont., says : — " In the fall of 1895 I was taken seriously ill, and sirfTered more or less f >r atx>ut nine months. My blood seemed to be turning to water, and my heart ',;-oubled me very much. I could do 00 v^ork about the house without feeling completely tired out. 1 took considerable «Io.:v-.rs' medicine but without any benefit. I then befin the use of Dr. Williams' JPiuk Pills, and am ihtinVful to saj they have restored my health." Was Going into a Dscline— Cured. Miss Julia A. Birney, Sheba, N.B., writes :—" I wish to add my testimonial to the many who have used Dr. Willi.ims' Pink Pills, as I consider that they have saved my life. My occupation is teaching, and for about two year- my health had been failing, and in tlie summer of 189; I w.as so completely run down that I feared I would h.ive to give up work, for the least exertion overcame me, and my friends all feared I was going into a decline. The doctor who was treating me said he could bring me around in a short time ; but at the end of three months 1 was no better. Dr. Williams' Pink Pills were recommended as a sort of forlorn hope, and I began taking them. It was not long before I began to improve, and after I, had been taking the Pills a little more than a month I was completely cured. I can strongly recommend Pink Pills to any suffering from anamia or nervousness, feeling sure that what they did in my case they will do for others." Saved from Consumption. Miss Marie Drolet, Quebec, says :— " From a strong and robust girl I gradually grew weak and languid. I lost all color, was troubled with a pain in my back, my appetite was poor and temper fitful. Without any apparent reason 1 would burst out crying and '* seemed to me that I would die. An excellent doctor was called in, but I did not improve under his treatment. Finally the doctor told my mother that I was in consumption and that it was impossible to save me. On? day a little later, one of my friends from the convent came to see me and told me of an aunt of hers who jai been cured of a severe illness by the use of Eh-. Williams' Pink Pills, and urged me to tiy them. My mother sent for some and I began the treatment, and continued it for three months without inieiruption. It was sometime before any improvement was noticeable, but when the improvement set in it was steady, end at the end of three months I was fully restored to health. To any who may be in a similar condi- tion I can heartily recommend Dr. Williams' Pink Pills as a means of cure." Weak, Pale and En.aciated— Cured. Miss Mary E. Wilson, Alton, Ont., says :— " About three ytars ago I was taken sick. A doctor was called in and he said my blood was turning tf water. He gave me medicine, but I found no benefit from it. I then Uied another doctor, but with no better results. For two years I suffered terribly. I got .so weak I could scarcely stand alone, and was so thin and pale that my friends thought I was dying of co»- •nmrttion. Then mv limbs bes-in to swell and my body to bloat. PINK PILLS CURE BY ENRICHING THE BLOOD AND RESTORING SHATTERED NERVES. » Subject to Weak Spells— Cured. Miss Catharine Flood, daughter of Patrick Flood, Esq., who lives a few miles from Mallorytow.., Ont., says :-" A little more than a year ago I began to decline in health. I felt constantly tired, my appetite failed and my color was deathly. My father saw a doctor and described my case, and he said the trouble was anemia, and •ent me a bottle of medicine. I found that the medicine did not agree with me and discontinued it. 1 was constantly growing worse and was subject to weak spells and was fast becoming little more than a living skeleton. One Sunday after I had been to church, a friend who returned with me strongly urged me to try Dr. Williams' rink Pilis, I deciccd to give them a trial and my father purchased a supply. The lirst change I noticed was that the dizziness was leaving nic, then my apisetite im- proved and my color began to return, and soon 1 was enjoying as good liealth as I had ever done. It is now about a year since I discontinued the use of the pills and I have ■ot felt one symptom of the old trouble. I believe that Pink Pills saved me from the grave, and I strongly urge other girls who may be in a condition similar to mine to wry tbem. 5 Anaemia and Ippeg^ularities Cuped. Miss S. A. Manchester, of Huntley, Ont., writes :— ■' Up to the age of i8 I was always healthy, but at that time my heall.'i began to give way. My illness came on gracoally and I was growing weaker and weaker. My complexion, hitherto good, became pale and yellow, almost corpse like. My blood seemed to have turned to water ; mv heart would palpitate violently on the slightest exertion and I v/as easily tired. If I went to the pump for a pail of water I would tremWe so badly that I could hardly reach the house with it. Wlien going up stairs I had to rest when I reached the top, and if I walked a short distance I would almost choke from the effects of the heart palpitation. My hands and feet were most always cold. I was irregular in my periods, and altogether was a sorry spectacle. 1 took doctors" prescriptions, beef, iron and wine, and while these helped me some, I did not get strong, nor did mv blood appear to improve. Then 1 decided to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. When I had taken nearly two boxes I felt somewhat better, and from that out I began to recover quite rapidly. I continued taking the Pink Pills for a couple of months, and when I stopped using them I was agam enjoying good health. I gained flesh and strength, theheait trouble left me, a healthy color returned to my face ; my changes became :~ti —•;••. .......„.,., ,,, ~n,n r.-tia uiaimn-cs and run up ana cown stairs witnout the least fatigue. In fact my friends scarcely realized that I was the weak and miserable girl of a few months before. Now if I feel myself out of sorts, as the expression goes. I resort to Pink Pills and am soon myself again. 1 know there arr many girls who suffer as I did, ard it is only in the hoi>e .that my experience will L .p them that I make this statement public." Weakness and Palpitation of Heapt— CUped. Miss Emma Miller, of Upper Southampton, N.R, says :- -" I scarcely know whea my illness began, as my mother was unable to work and most of the duties of a large household devolved upon me, so that I felt that I must keep up, but I kept getting worse and worse. My appetite failed, my complexion became sallow, and my eyes sunken. I was troubled with dizziness, shortness of breath and palpitation of the heart, until J vould almost suffocate. I was also troubled with a terrible pain in the side. I could not go up stairs without resting, and was so afHicted with headache that my life became almost unbearable. At last I was forced to give up and keep my bed. My friends feared I was going into consumption, but recommended one remedy after another, which, however, did not help me. Finally I was induced to try Dr. Williaina" Pink Pills, and in less than three weeks I was able to leave my bed. and after usin« the pills a few weeks longer 1 feel that I am as well as ever I was. My appetite has returned as well, and my strength and general health is in every way restored. I fe«t that in bringing this subject before the public 1 am only doing justice to stifferinr humanity, and hope that all afflicted as I was will give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills m. fair trial." Felt Misepable and Deppessed— Cuped. Miss Ellen Starling, Hill Farm, N.W.T., wntes:— "In 1893 I found mys«M weak, miserable and depressed. My entire system appeared to be rim down, and my appetite was very poor. A friend advised me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and I had only used a few boxes when I felt stronger, and had a much better appetite, and was in fact enjoying my old time health. I continued well until the early part of 1896^ when I was attacked with rheumatic pains. For days I suffered agony, and then Dr. Williams' Pink Pills again came to my rescue. Now I take these pills occasional^ and am enjoying the best of health. I think Pink Pills the greatest medicine of the age.* Mrs. Chipperfield, wife of Samuel Chipperfield, postmaster at Chlckney, N.W.T., wntes :— " In the spring of 1896 I felt far from well and my strength was failing mb For several years past 1 have been attacked with rheumatism ever)- spring, and havin* read that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills would cure both rheumatism enA failing health, I determined to try them. I purchased a few boxes and know that :hey greatly improved my health and strength, and I was also free from my usual attack of rheumatism. I can therefore recommend Pink Pills to those who suffer from liieuaa^ tism or failing health." Miss L. Robinson, Glenorchie, Ont, says: "I was troubled severely with neuralgia and sick headache, and at times I suffered terribly. I doctored for th» trcuble for years, but did not improve. I was advised to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pilfe. and after using six boxes I find myself almost as well as ever I was in my life. I thinle Pmk Pills a splendid medicine for this trouble." 10 PINK PILLS RESTORE MEN BROKEN DOWN BY OVERWORK OR EXCESS. A TROOPER'S STORY. Awoke One Night to Find Hinr*self Speechless, and His Body Paralyzed— Could Touch a Red Hot Stove without any Sensation of Pain. From the Huntingdon, Que., News, Mr. Donald McNaughton, of Hemmingford, Que., is not only known to all the residents of that town, but also has a reputation throughout the country as an expert marksman, having on one occasion been a member of the Canadian Rifle team at Bisley, England. Mr. McNaughton is a member of the 6th Hussars, and takes part in all the leading shooting matches in Canada, having last year stood third in the grand aggregate at the Quebec provincial matches. Mr. McNaughton has passed through a very trying experience, the particulars of which he recently related to a correspondent of the Huntingdon News. He said : — " About the end of December, 1893, I awoke one night having completely lost ihe power of speech, with a ringing sensation in my head, and a feelmg of extreme cold in every part of my body except in the immediate vicinity of my head. A physician was at once called in, but despite all he could do the power of speech did not retta-n for two days, and my body remained partially paralyzed. In this condition I continued under the doctor's care lutil about the last week in March, 1894, sometimes having; two doctors in attendance. During that time tmy appetite was very capricious, sometunes very good and at others loathing the sight •of^food. What fooid I took did not digest, causing me much discomfort. When resting on my right side the blood in my body all appeared to circulate in my left side, causing great pain in my lungs, and when lying on my left uide I appeared to have no blood in circulation on that side. My body wa« at times without sensation, and I have actually burned my hands on a red hot stove without feeling any sensation of pain. As I was not getting better under the treatment I was undergoing, I got low spirited and despondent, and saw nothing before me but a miserable life and perhaps early death. About the last week in March, 1894, my brother brought me a box of Pink Pills, given him by Mr. McFee, postmaster, and urged me to give them atrial. I began taking them, carefully following the directions, and before I had finished the box 1 felt »hey were helping me. I continued taking the pills, and continued to gain in health and strength, my weight increasing some 19 pounds. Complete vigor and sensation returned to my body, my stomach ceased to trouble me, and I felt better than at any frevious period in my life. I have not bad the slightest recurrence of my trouble, and feel that I owe my present health and strength to Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and with feelings of gratitude recommend them as a medicine worthy of all confidence." Mr. Frank Askin, Glenorchy, Ont., says: — "I was troubled with an attack of Sciatica from which i suiicrcd severely. I purchased six boxes of Pink Pills and 'oy Mbe- time they were tised I foiud the trouble bad disap[>eared." A Supposed Incurable Case Cuped. Mr. J06. Cauchon, a well-to-do farmer living in the parish of Chateau Richer, Que. , says : — " I am a living example of the efficacy of Dr, Williams' Pink Pills, and 1 believe that had I not used this remedy I would not to-day be living. In the spring of 1894 I was first taken ill. The first trouble was a pKiin in the chest which gradually increased in intenseness. Then foliowed an almost constant feeling of suffociition, loss of appetite and loss of sleep. My digestion became impaired and I was growing weaker and weaker. I had at different times three doctors, but they neither agreed as to my ailment nor did they help me. One said my trouble was dyspepsia, another that it was Bright's disease, and another that my heart was affected. Finally I became so weak that I was unable to go out, and a little later I had to take to my bed. One day a friend who came to see me advised me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. 1 had lost con- fidence in all medicine, but it was a small hope and I grasped at it. I began using the pills, rigidly adhering to the directions. After I h.-xd used six boxes the feeling of suffocation ceased and I was able to leave my bed. I was still very weak, however, and continued using the pills for two months longer, and at that time I was com- pletely cured. I lose no opportunity to recommend Pink Pills to those ailing, as I have proved them to be a remarkable medicine." Serious After Effects of La Grippe. Mr. J. A. Wright, Trevelyan, Ont., writes: — '"My illness was brought about by a severe attack of la grippe, from the effects of which I found it hard to recover. 1 was subject to dizziness, heart palpitation and blood rushing to my head. If I stooped, or attempted to lift much, a weakness as though I would faint would come over me. This feeling would sometimes be varied by a rush of blood to the head which would cause pe a cure for Bright's disease. This medicine I took, but with no effect whatever. Ten months had passed away and 1 had become so haggard, emaciated, stooped and miserable that my friends had difficulty in recogniring me. In fact they, like myself, harbored the most painful apprehensions. At this juncture an aunt came to visit me! and strongly advised me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. Like a drowning man reaching for a straw I did so. To my great surprise I soon noticed an improvement, the pain in my back began to leave, my appetite improved, my color returned, and by the time I had used eight boxes not an ache or pain remained, and I am as able to K ,.?^"^ *.°-<^*y ^ previous to the attack. I know that I owe my restoration to Dr. WilUams Pink Pills, and I urge those ill or suff'^ring to give them a trial" Thoug^ht He Had Consumption— Cured. Mr. John Robbins, of Wellandport, Ont., says:— "About three years ago I took a severe cold from the effects of which I did not seem able to recover, and although 1 was taking medicine and doctoring for upwards of two years I was steadily getting worse instead of better. The cough clung to me and I had a pain in my lungs 1 was tired on the least exertion and at last believed that my trouble was consumption I had often read of the cures made by the use of Dr. Williams' Wnk Pills, and as the other medicines I had taken had failed me I Hnridwi tn try them. I had nrst ■.vwid them more than a week when my appetite began to improve and that was the first sign of returning health. From that out each week found me better and stronijer and I am now enjoying the best of health. I cheerfully add my tribute to Ihe man* words of praise given this great medicine." r^amtiS^fVmi la DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS FOR PALE PEOPLE ARE NOT A PATENT MEDICINE. A PROVIDENTIAL RESCUE. Languor, Severe Headaches and Pains in the Region of the Kid- neys IVIade the Life of Mrs. IVIcCauce Miserable. From the Gravenhurst Banner. Poor health is an affliction that is dreaded by every one, and the first sign of ap- proaching disease is usually met with an attempt on the part of the patient to check »nd kill lU Frequently, however, even the most skilled physicians fail, and the sufferer endures a weary round of agony such as those who are in the full enjoyment of health can have no conception of. But when at last a medicine is found that will cure, its -worth cannot be estimated in dollars and cents. It is without price. Such is the .opinion f^f Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McCauce, of Ashdown, Ont Mr. McCauce tells the Story of his wife's illness and cure as follows : — " For three or four years past my wife had been constantly failing in he.ilth. The first syniptoms of her trouble were languor and loss of appetite, accompanied by bearing down pains and headaches, which affected her periodically. As time grew on she was attacked with pains in the region of her kidneys that became almost unbearable owing to their severity. Home remedies and different medicines were tried, but with no good results. lAst winter she grew so wreak and helpless that I was obliged to seek medical aid for her, and accordingly sent JSer out to Barrie, where she received the best medical attention, the result of which was only slightly bcnefici.tl. On her return, owing, no doubt, to the tediousness of the journey, she suffered from a relapse and her trouble came back in a form more aggravated than before. I noticed in a pafier which I was reading i^.^e day a testi- monial from one who had been cured of a similar trouble, and although knowing that other romedies had failed in my poor suffering wife's case, there was yet a ray of hope. 1 therefore procured a few boxes of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills and on my return home administered the first dose to my wife. It is perhaps needless to relate that before the first supply was exhausted she found great relief. My wife now commenced to enjoy a buoyancy of spirits and kept on taking the Pink Pills with increasing good results. . By the time she had used six boxes her conditran had so improved that her neighbors were almost unprepared to believe the evidence of their own eyes when seeing the ■change in her appearance. Before taking the pills it was a severe task even to dress Ijerself, much less to do any housework, while now, although not having used any of the pills for more than a couple of months, she attends to all her household duties without the slightest inconvenience. Taking all things into consideration, I feel it a duty I owe to other sufferers t( ccommend these little pink messengers of health which stood between my well nigh distracted wife and the jaws of a lingering but cer- tain death." Mr A. R Halliday, Trafalgar, Ont., says:— "I have med Dr. Williams' Pink , Fills and Sod them a good medicine, and can cheerfully reoommettd them." He was Wasting Away. From the Millbrook Reporter. Mr. Geo. Seney, who resides near Mount Pleasant, Durham County, Ont. , is a man well known throughout the county. He is the owner of the Seney House in Mount Pleasant, and until about a year ago conducted it to the satisfaction of all his patrons. Mr. Seney is one of the multitude who owe health and strength to the healing virtues of Dr. Williams" Pink Pills, and in a conversation recently with a correspondent of the Reporter gave the following particul.irs of his illness and cure .— " I found my health gradually giving way," said Mr. Seney, " but it was not until I had become so emaciated as to be almost unfit for business that I felt alarmed, and then I called in two physicians for consultation. The doctors disagreed as to what my trouble was, but the one to whom I gave the preference informed me that my trouble was due to a secretion of morbid matter in the blood, and accordingly he lanced several little sacs that' had formed on my neck. This gave me some rslief, but my constitution was so run down that I was almost a physical wreck. My appetite was very poor, and J was wasting away lapidly. My nerves seemed to be all unstrung, and 1 was greaUy depressed in spirits. Medicine seemed to be doing me little or no good, and I did not know where to look for relief. I hud heard and rea4 much of the curative properties of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and at last decided to try them. Before I had finished my second box there was a marked improvement in njy condition, apd after continuing the pills for some time longer I was restored to my accustomed v'gorand good health. It is now over a year since I discontinued the use of the Pink Pills, and I have continued enjoving the blessing of good health. I am strong in my commendation of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and trust that the .''ecital of my experience may be a beacon to some other poor sufferer who may read it.'' Indig^estion Cuped. Miss Mary L. Wilson, of St. John, N.B., is a successful school teacher, a talented artist, and an earnest worker m connection with St. David's Presbyterian chiu-ch. Miss Wilson tells how for several years she was the victim of indigestion, the effect of which was to render the performance of her duties irksome, and deprive her of many of the enjoyments of life. She became weak and unambitious, pale and sallow, and, as the saying goes, did not feel at all like herself. Some months ago she began taking Dr. Williams Pink Pills, and soon their good effects were noticeable, and under the treatment her health and her complexion have been restored. Writing under the date of Aug. 33nd, 1896, Miss Wilson says : — " I have a number of cousins who have been wonderfully benefited by the use of Dr, Williams' Pink lllls, but I would not feel at liberty to give their names for publication. You are at liberty to use mine, however, if youdesire todO'SO." ■ Mr. Wsn. J. The SufFerings of a Well Known Guelph Citizen— Could Not Move About Without the Aid of a Stick— Again as Strong and Healthy as Ever. Prom the Guelph Mercury, There is perhaps no business or occupation that any man could follow that is more trying to the health — particularly in the winter— than that of moulding. A workman leaves the shop with his clothes wringing wet from perspinition, and a cold wind chills him to the marrow, making him a ready mark for lumbago, sciatica and kindred troubles. A moulder requires to be a man of more than ordinary strength, and to continue at his work must always be in good health, for the moulding shop is no place for an invalid. Sciatica is by no means an uncommon affliction for men of this craft, and once the dread disease has lanced a victim he seldom shakes himself fcee from it again. In fact some people declare that it is incurable, but that it is not we are able to testify by a personal interview with one once afflicted with the trouble, but who is now in perfect health, thanks to his timely use of the famous remedy. There are few workmen better knov.i in Guelph than Chas. W. Waldren, perhaps better known as " Charley Wiildren," for he has lived in Guelph almost continuously since he was three years of age, and he has how passed the 38th mile post. Mr. Waldren is a moulder, and has worked at that business for 22 years; and besides being noted as a stcidy workman, he is a man whose vemcity is unquestioned. It is a well known fact , hf re that Mr. Waldren had to ^uit work in January, 1896, on account of a severe attack of sciatica, and for eleven weeks was unable to do a tap. Knowing that he was again at work a Mercury reporter called at his residence one evening to learn tha exact facts of the case, Mr, Waldren, when spoken to on the subject, replied quite freely and had no hesita- tion in crediting Dr, Williams' Pink Pills with his remarkable recovery. "1 am not one of those people who are seeking newspaper notoriety," said Mr. Waldren, "neither have I been snatched from death's door, but from the day w len I quit work, until March •yith, when I started again, I was confined to the house with sciatica. It kxrated in my hip and would shoot down my leg to my foot and was very painful. I oould not move about the house without the aid of a cane, and then only with great pain. I was totally useless as far as doing my work was concerned, was never free from pain, and it made me feel very much depressed, for beyond that I felt strong and anxious to be about. I am a member of three benefit societies, from which 1 drew pay, viz.: The Three Links, the Iron Moulders" Association, and the Raymond Benefit Society. People came to see me, and of course everybody recommended a sore cure, I dMn't try half of them. It was not possible, bin I tried a great many— particularly remedies that I had been fat tha habit of using for lumbago— but I found ao relief. I tried Dr. WiUiains' Pink Pills. After vising two tMxes I noticed aa im- provement, and I kept on using them. When 1 had used six boxes 1 was back at work again. 1 kept on luitil 1 bad finished the eighth box, and I never felt better in my life, "Have you noticed any recurrence of trouble since? queried tlte reporter, "I have not," he replied, "suffered a single twinge since." Mr. Waldren has worked in all the moulding shops in the city, and was never in his life laid off sick as long as he was from the attack of sciatica. He hardly knew what it was to be sick, and is of that tough wiry nature that he can stand much greater physical strain than most people would imagine. Almost any person in the city can verify his story, Mr. Waldren said, as the rtporter got up to leave, "I only hore some poor fellow who hai stiffered as 1 did may notice my case and get relief as I did." The Effects of a Coug^h. Mr. Charles Achilles, the well known contractor and builder, of Georgeville, Qtte,, says:—" In attending for many weeks at the bedside of my son, who was stricken with consumption, I found myself in a decline. A former enemy, rheumatism, renewed its attacks, and in addition I commenced to cough and raise terribly. I grew weaker and weaker ; could not rest at night, and was just able to get from my bed to the chair. I used many kinds of medicine but to no effect, I called in doctors, but they did me no good, 1 had heard so much concerning Dr. Williams' Pink Pills that I then determined to try them. It seems strange even to myself, but the first box g.ive me courage. I was stronger and the world looked brighter. I continued the u.se of the pills and the cough left me ; 10 did the rheumatism, and to-day I am a well and rugged man, who takes much pleasure in testifying to the merits of Dr. Williams' Pink pais," Aftep-Effects of La Grippe Cured. Mr. Norman Curtis, a well-known farmer living near Mcintosh Mills, Ont.) says:— " Two years ago I was attacked with la grippe, which weakened my whole system and left a feeling of constant depression. I was troubled with fluttering of the heart, severe headaches, and the least exertion would leave me in an exhausted condition. I had good medical advice and treatment, but it failed to help me. I was advised to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and by the time I had finished the first box there was a decided improvement in my condition. Three more boxes fully restored me to health, and 1 cheerfully recommend Pink Pills as a grand medicine for similar sufferers." Mr. M. Potter, Warkworth, Ont., says :— " My life was made miserable for a long time by indigestion. I tried to get relief firom several .sources, but could not. I dreaded the arrival of each day, as it meant intense pain and suffering. I determined to try Dr, Williams' Pink Pills, and aimost from the outset they hdped me, 1 con- tinued their use, and life had a new joy and pleasure for me. Since using the pills I have bad no rettim of tb« trooble, and I balieve I am now permaneatly cured." 14 PINK PILLS POSITIVELY CURE PARALYSIS, SCIATICA, RHEUMATISM, ETC. WHEN OTHERS FAIL. D^. How this young lady happens to be the subject of this article is due to the fact that she has recently under- gone a most remarkable change through the use of those wonderfiil little messengers of health. Dr. Williams" Pink Pills. When the reporter of the Beaver called to make enquiiy into her cure, he was met at the door by the young lady herself, whose rosy cheeks and healthy apjjearance gave no indica- tion that she had undergone a prolonged illness. The refwrter mentioned his mission, and found Miss Byrnes quite willing to tell the particulars of what she termed "an escape from death." In reply to the query, " What have Dr. Williams' Pink Pills done for you?" she replied, " Why, they have done wonders. I feel like a new woman now. For eight years I was weak and miserable, and at times I could not walk. I was greatly troubled with indigestion, and frequently could not keep any- thing on my stomach, not even a glass of milk. I had dizzy spells, severe headaches, and my complexion was of a yellowish hue. My kidneys also troubled me, and in fact 1 was all aches and pains. In going up a flight of stairs I had either to be assisted up, or would have to rest several times before J got to the top. At times my hands and feet would have no more warmth in them than lumps of ice. On one occasion while stopping at an hotel in Kingston, after waiting on a number of my customers, I fell down in a faint. The landlady found me in this condition and sent for a doctor, who, after bringing me bade to consciousness, gave me medicine to talce. He told me that my system was so badly run down that it was imperative that I should have absolute rest. His medicine had no beneficial effect that I could see, and I tried a number of other doctors, with no better results. I became so low that I cared for neither work nor pleasure, and my friends thought I had gone into con- sumption. It was at this juncture that I determined to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a trial, and my appearance to-day will show you what a wonderful change they have wrought in me. I continued taking the Pink Pills for three months, and before dis- continuing them every ache and pain had disappeared. I cannot speak too highly of this wonderful medicine, and I am eager to let the fact be known for the t)enefit ol other sufferers." Erysipelas Cuped. Mr. Hugh Morrison, Ashgrove. Ont., says:— "My son Percy while attending school was seized with a sudden weakness in his limbs and was obliged to leave schooL He was attended by a good doctor, but with no beneficial results. He became languid, his appetite failed and he was very weak. The color left his face and his blood seemed to have turned to water. Then his legs began to swell and the doctor pronounced his trouble erysipelas, and lanced his limbs a dozen or more times, but no permanent benefit followed. We were then advised to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and he had not been taking them a great while when he began to improve steadily. The swelling in his arms and legs was reduced, he was enabled to return to school and he can now romp and play with any of the boys of his age. The credit for this we give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and hope this experience may be helpful to some one else." Aftep Effects of Scaplet Fevep— Cuped. Mr. J. Herbison, of Rockfield, Ont, savs:— "About three years ago at the age of i8, I was attacked with scarlet fever. After the fever left me I was still very weak, my appetite was poor and my kidneys were affected. I had no ambition for work and although I tried several medicines I did not find relief. I was advised by a friend to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and after the use of a couple of boxes found a decided change for the better. I then continued using the pills for about a month longer, and found my health and strength fully restored, I can heartily recommend Pink Pills to others weak or ailing." A Smothepingr Feelingr— Cuped. Mrs. John Dickey, Rockport, Ont., says:— "I suffered for many months from pain in the region of my heart, and an occasional sensation of smothering, and as a result of the trouble I was weak and nervous. I tried a number of medicines, but got no satisfactory relief, and at last determined to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I used is all five boxes, and at that stage found that the trouble had entirely disappeared. I can confidently recommend Pink Pills to those who suffer as I did." Among the residents in the vicinity of Mattawa there is none better known or more highly esteemed than Mr. and Mrs. R. Ranson, who have been residents of this section for the past fifteen years. Mrs. Ranson has been a great sufferer for years, her affliction taking the form of dizziness and violent headaches, and the attacks would come upon her so suddenly that she could scarcely reach her bed unaided, and wou' ■ be forced io remain for three or four days, uny.ble to take any nourishment and suflki ing more thpn tongue can express. She was but seventeen years of age when these attacks first came upon her, and the doctor who then attended her said that in his opinion her life would not extend over a few years at most But more than a •core of years have since passed, during the greater part of which, it is true, Mrs. Ranson was a great sufferer. But that is happily now past, and she is enjoying better health than ever she did. To a reporter of the Tribune Mrs. Ranson told her story, adding earnestly that she hoped her experience might prove of benefit to some other sufferer. She said: " The spoils of dizziness and intense headaches would attack me every three or four weeks, and would last from two to four days at each attack, and with each attack my suffering appeared to grow more intense. I had good medical advice, and tried many remedies, but with no beneficial results. In the spring of 1895 my appetite began to fail, my hands and feet would swell, and my heart palpitate vio- lently, 1 was utterly discouraged and felt that I would not live much longer. One day my daughter urged me to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a trial, but I had taken so much medicine with no benefit that I refused. However, she went to town and got four boxes, and to please her, more than for any hope of benefit, I agreed to take them. I did not find the first box do me any good, but by the time I had taken the second my appetite began to improve and 1 could sleep better. I then began to have faith in them, and as I continued their use found myself constantly getting better. When I had finished the fourth box both myself and friends were surprised to find that I had not had a headache for more than six weeks, the action of my heart had become regular, and I could sleep soundly al> r ght, I was still weak, however, and decided to continue the use of the pills, which ! did until three more boxes were used. Since then I have been stronger than at any time for years before and have not had an ache or pain. 1 can do my work, have a new interest in life and feel ten years younger. 1 feel that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills will do for others what they have done >Oi i:'ie, and believing this 1 am giad to make my story public in the hope that it will be of valuo to some sufferer. " Suffeped fop Ye&vz. Prom the Kingiton Whig. One who has been released from years of suffering- is always grateful to the person or the medicine that has been the medium of release. It is therefore safe to say that one of the most thankful men in the vicinity of Harrowsmith is Mr. Grant Day, who for years past has been a sufferer from rheumatism, but has now been released from its thraldom. To a reporter Mr. Day told his experience substantially as follows : " I have been a sufferer from rheumatism for upwards of twenty-five years. It usually attacked me worst in spring and fall, and at times the pain I endured was intense, making it difficult for me to obtain rest at night. From my hips down to my feet every joint and every muscle appesired to be affected, and the pains appeared to chase one another until I was at times nearly wild, and mind you this was my condition for upwards of twenty-five years. During that period 1 tried many remedies, and while 1 obtained temporary relief from some, I could get nothing in the way of permanent benefit. But last year the pains did not come back, and they have not returned since, and this is the way it came about. One day while telling my neighbor, Mr, W. C. Switzer, how badly I was feeling, he Siiid : 'Get half a dozen boxes of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills and use them accordmg to directions, and you will find they will do just what they are advertised to do — cure you. I know this from experience in my own family.' Well, I got the pills and used them, and the rheumatism has been driven out of my system, and last winter and spring for the first time in more than twenty years I was entirely free from my old enemy. But there is one thing more Dr. Wit iiams" Pink Pills did for me, and which astonishes nie a little. Over forty years ago I had a severe earache, and used a liquid preparation in the hope of getting rel'ef. It nearly niinetl my hearing, and for all the years since I have been partially deaf. After I took the Pink Pills my hearing came back, and my ear is now all right. My wife and sister have also found much benefit from Pink Pills when run down by overwork, and it is safe to say that they will always be found in our house." Headache fop Yeaps— Cuped. Mr. Peter McAntee, of Auburn, P. E. I., says :— " I think my illness dates first to a severe cold which I neglected. Then my stomach began to trouble me, and dizziness set in, which always ended in a violent headache, and from these headaches I have suffered for years. At times they would cease for a few days, Isut it seemed when they returned that my condition was worse than before. I consulted several doctors, and spent a large sum of money in buying medicine, but nothing seemed to do me any good. Finally I was advised to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and they have accomplished what other medicines failed to do. I now feel completely cured, and have not had an attack of niy old trouble for more than six months, I would earnestly advise sufferers from headache to give these pills a trial" 16 PINK PILLS ACT DHiiECTLY UPON THE BLOOD ANd NERVOUS SYSTEM". HEALTHY DIGESTION. The Life of a Dyspeptic one of Constant Misery— One who has Suffered from its Pangs Points the Way to Renewed Health. #rom the Cornwall Freeholder, The life of the dyspeptic is proverbially a miserable one, eliciting universal com- miseration. Not so niucli because of the actual painfulness of the ailment, but largely because it ojects its pessimistic shadows upon all the concerns of life, and here they sit like a deadly incubus upon every enterprise. An impaired digestion gives rise to an irritability that exposes the person to much annoyance, besides being e.ttremely trying upon others. Hence it is not surprising that many would-be benefactors have caught the patronage of sufferers from indigestion. Judging by results Dr. Williams* Pink Pills is a remedy unique in its success, therefore it is confidently recommended as a safe and adequate cure for acute dyspepsia. This claim is substantiated by ex- perience as the following facts will show. Mrs. D. McCrimmon, of Williamstown, Glengarry Co., suffered untold misery from a severe attack of dyspepsia, which manifested itielf in those many unpleasant ways for which dyspepsia is notorious. Every attempt to take food was a menace to every feeling of comfort, until the stomach was relieved of its burden by vomiting. When not suffering from the presence of food in the stomach, there were other sympl toms more or less disagreeable consetjuent to the functional disturbance of the stomach, such as impaired taste and appetite, unwonted languor, increasing apathy, and failing ambition. Such an aggregation of the symptoms produced a trying state of aflairs, and relief was eagerly sought. One of the best physicians of the neighbor- hood was consulted. He prescribed. His medicine was taken and his directions followed, but unfortunately three months of the treatment brought no substantial relief. When Mrs. McCrimmon expressed her intention of trying Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, the doctor Jaughed andheld the thought in derisian. However, Mrs. McCrimmon decided she could not afford to leave untried such a well recommended remedy as Dr. Williams* Pink Pills. Hence she took a course of this medicine, which, after a fair- trial, was eminent!;- successful. From being only able to take stale bread and milk or soda biscuits, she became able to take a hearty meal of any variety, without the pain- ful effects that once asserted themselves after every meal. It only remains to be said that M.-^ McCrimmon improved in flesh and genera! comfort from the first takiri" of the pills, and almost anything going she could eat with impunity. Dyspepsia became a thmg less dreaded, and largely belonging to the past. It is little wonder therefore that she urges the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills upon others similarly afflicted. Constipation and Dyspepsia Cured. Mrs. Chas. Raymond, wife of one of the best known pilots on the ocean steainera between Bic and Quebec, says:—" I have used Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and have no hesitation in saying that for me they are now the universal panacea and I an never without them in the house. For many years I was afflicted with indigestioa and obstinate constipation. The result naturally was anaemia and extreme weakness. I could sleep but little and became so nervous that the least noise troubled me. Thea I suffered with pains almost impossible to describe. It is needless to say that I ha«l good medical treatment, but in vain. One day I read in " Electeur " the statement of a lady whose case was in many respects similar to mine, who had been cured by th« use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and I decided to try them. The result is a complete cure of all my troubles. I had used five boxes before I found much relief, and I use4 in all a dozen boxes. I no longer suffer as I once did, and life wears a brighter aspect. all due to the great merit of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills." Helpless from Rheumatism—Cuped. Mrs. W. H. Martin, Thornton, Ont., says:—" I had an attack of rheumatic fvm which a year later developed into chronic rheumatism, and eventually left me in such a condition that I was unable to attend to my housework, and completely used upt I called in our family doctor, who gave me considerable medicine, but it failed to have the desired effect. Having read so often of the cures effected by the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, I decided to try them, and I am happy to say that they have effected a thorough cure. I also know of a number of other instances in which Pink Pills have done splendid work. I follow to some extent the profession of nursing an4 have thus opportunities to see the good work which Pink Pills perform." Nervous Headache— Cured. Mrs. C. Terry, 15 Mitchell Ave., Toronto, says:—" I have used Dr. Williams' Pmk Pills with very marked benefit. About a year ago I became thin in flesh,, suffer- ing from nervous headache, dizziness and a feeling of general prostration, which at tunes confined me to my bed. After doctoring for some time, and finding myself stiU growing worse, I decided to try Dr. Williams* Pink Pills, and can truthfully say thay have restored me to perfect health. 1 urgently advise others similarly afflicted to try this wonderful medicine." Neuralg^ia and Debility Cured. Mrs. Thatcher Townsend, of Milford, N. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS CURE ALL FORMS OP FEMALE WEAKNESS. 17' A FATHER'S STORY. ■His Daughter Began to Droop and Fade— Was Attacked with Hemorrhage and Life was Despaired of— She. is Again Enjoying Robust Health. Vtmd the Brantford Courier, A recent addition to the Grand Trunk staff In this city is Mr. Thomns Clift, wh« b living at 7^ Chatham street. Since his advent here he has been a warm advocate of that well known medicine, Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and through his endorsement dozens of boxe.i have been sold to his friends and acquaintances. A Courier representative, anxious, although not^urprised, to know the reason for Mr. Clift's warm eulogy of the pills, called on that gentleman recently. Mr. Clift willingly consented to an interview, and in the following story told his reason for being •o sincere an advocate of a world renowned medicine. " Some five years ago," said Mr. Clift. " my daughter Lily began to droop and fade, and became disinclined either for work or pleasure. A doctor in London was called in and he prescribed exercise and a general ' rousing up ' as the best medicine to effect a cure. My daughter did her best to follow his instructions, but the forced exercise exhausted her completely, and she gradually grew worse. One night I and my wife were terribly alarmed by a cry from Lily, and hastening to her room found her gulping up large quantities of blood. 1 rushed for a dr^ctor and he did his best to stop her hemorrhage, but admit- ted to me that her case was very critical. She drooped away to a veritable shatiow. and for weeks when I went to bid her good-bye in the morning as I went to my work, 1 feared I might not see her alive again. This went on for a long time until one day a friend recommended my daughter to try the effect of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. She consented to do so, and in a comparatively brief period a decided benefit w.is percep- tible She persisted with the use of the pills and gradually rose from a bed of suffer- jng and sickness until she once again attained robast young womanhood. For the last three years she has been in excellent health. It was Pink Pills that virtually brought her from the mouth of the grave and preserved for me my only daughter. Now do you wonder why I sound their praises and recommend them at every opoor- tunity ? " ' '^'^ Weak and Run Down— Cured. F. E. Smith, Huntsville. Pale Faces and Bloodless Lips— Given to Headaches— Extreme Weakness. Heart Palpitation and other Distressing Symptoms. From the Leamlogton Post. The attention of the Post has lately been frequently called to a remarkable cure In the cas« of a young girl living within a few miles of this town, whose life was despaired of. but who was com- pletely cured in a short space of time by that most wonderful of all remedies, Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. Since read- ing in almost every issue of the Post of the cures effected by the use of this medicine, we felt it to be a duty we owed our readers to investigate this case, which has so urgently been brought to our notice, and we are sure the interview will be read with interest by thousands of young girls all over danada.as well as by the parents of such interesting patients. The young lady in question is not anxious for notoriety, but is willing to make her case known in order that others who are similarly afflicted may have an opportunity of being equally benefited. The symp- toms in her disease differed in no way from those affecting thousands of young girls about her age. She was sufTeHng from extreme weakness, caused by an impoverished condition of the blood, and her chances of life seemed to grow less every day. The best and brightest fade away as well as others, but when we see a yourg girl of sixteen years, who should be in the best of health, with cheeks aglow with the rosy flush of youth, and eyes bright and flashing, just the opposite, with sallow cheeks, bloodless lips, listless in every motion, despondent, despairing of life, with no expectation or hope of regaining health, and with only one wish left, that of complete rest, physical and mental, we think it one of the saddest of liights. _ In the qui \t little hamlet of StrangfieW. in Essex county, just such a case was uresented to the sorrowing eyes of loving friends a few months ago, in the person of Miss Ella Beacon, who frequently said she did not caie how soon she died, as life had no charms for her. To our reporter she declared that life had been a burden ; but after suffering in this way for months, and after trying all sorts of remediM prescribed bjr physicians or furnished by friends from some cherished recipe handed down froni their erandmother. but without being benefited in the least, she was at last persuaded by a neiehbor to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a fair trial ; but she had tned so many remedies without getting relief that she still refused for some weeks. However, aftdr reoeated urgings by her parents and friends, she began the use of the pills. Before one box was taken she experienced some relief, and after the use of a few more boxes she was restored to perfect health, and there are few young ^irls now who enjoy life more. She s.-iys she oweVher life and happiness to Dr. Williams^Pink Pills, and is willing that all the world shall know it. Her case attracted much attention, and her perlect recovery has created much comment" Released fl*om Rheumatism. Mr. A. T. Friends Thought that the Span of Her Life Would be Short. Prom the Montrtal Herald. This «rorld is full of change. There are changes that affect the constitution of the Individual, changes that wiU come; we cannot avert their commg. but we m.iy parry ' " the unsalutary chiu-acter of their mfiuence. Womanhood in its inception is susceptible of clianges that demand the most judi- cious attention and prudential care to ensure perfect development and happy maturity. These changes are so vital and so subtle in their character that unless the utmost vigilance and discrimination is exercised in the choice and application of reputed remedies, the worst results may accrue. The constitution may be under- jnined and the germs of dise.-xse fostered. Vigorous life is at the basis of all enjoy- ment and success. To be weak is to be miserable. It is therefore fundamental to every interest of humanity that life's red, red stream be kept pure and healthy. Owing to neglect of these particulars many young women have allowed life to become a burden and a wearsome round of duties. ,,,„„, Faint and weak very aptly describes their condition after venturing to perform some ordinary household duty. What can be done ^accornpu'hthere^vfnat^^ unfortunate ones? There is a remedy widely InownTnd loudly applauded, whose virtues are proclaimed on the house tops and whispered on the streets. Bagot county, is one of the happiest homes in the whole provmce of Quebec, and the cause of much of this h.ippiness is the int-sti- niable boon of health conferred through the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. Mrs. Eva Salois is the person thus re- stored, and she tells her story as fol- lows:— "Like a great many other Canadians, my hiishund and myself left Canada for the States, in the hope that we might better our condition, and we located in Lowell, Mass. About a year ago I gave bi.th to a bright little boy, but while yet on my sick bed I was attacked with la grippe, which de- veloped into inflammation of the lungs. 1 had the very best of care, and the best of medical trciitment, and although the iiiflamniation left me I did not get belter, but continuiljy grew weaker and weaker. I could not sltepat night, and I l)ecame so nervous that the least noise would make me tremble and cry. I could not eat, and was reduced almost to a skeleton. My whole body bjenied racked with pain to such an extent that it is impossible for me to describe it. I pot so low that the doctor who was at- tending me lost hope, but suggested calling m another doctor for consultation. I begged them to give me something to deaden the terrible pain I endured, but all things done for me seemed unavailing. After the consultation was ended my doctor said to me, ' You are a great sufferer, but it will not be for long. We have tried every- thing; we can now do no more." I had therefore to prepare myself for death, and would have welcomed it as a relief to my suffering, were it not for the thought of leaving myhusband and child. Mre. Laschinger, wife of Jacob I„-\schinger, the well known carriage builder of New Hamburg, Ont., says that about two years ago she was taken with an illness that she was unable to account for. The symptoms were a severe pain in the stomach, as if something were destroying her vitals. Eating seemed only to increase the agony, and Mr-;. Uischmger frequently went without food rather than incur the possibility of inucasing the torture she already endured. She had often l.c-ard of the efficacy of Ur. Williams' Pink Pills, and was finally led to try them. She had not taken many doses before there was a perceptible change in her condition, and by IIk; lime she had taken a few boxes the pains had entirely disappeared, and she has nevfr experienced any such symptoms since. Pink Pills are now a favorite medicine in that household, and are reconmiended to others. Debility and Weakness Cuped. Mrs. A. nurnett, Halifax, N.S., says :— " About a year ago I was taken ill very suddenly, and sent for a doctor. He said I was suffering fiom extreme weakness and general debility, and treated me for quite a while. Instead of getting better, how- ever. I was getting worse, and finally the doctor told me he thought I had better go to the hospital. At this time I w.is so weak that I had to be lifted in and out of bed and I had an aversion to going to a hospital. I asked my husband to get me a box of Dr. Williams Pink Pills, and as boon as he returned I began taking them. Before the box w.^ finished I felt belter, and by the time I had completed the second box I was able to sit up, and from that out I began to recover rapidly, 1 have proved Pink Pills a wonderful medicine, and hcirtily recommend them to weak women." Heart Trouble Cured. Mrs. Mary Middleditch, who resides in the township of Ellice, near Stratford, says:—" I suffered from heart disease, a trouble now so common among all classes. 1 was greatly reduced in flesh, and constantly besieged with a terrible fluttering at the heart. At the advice of a friend I was induced to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and after taking a few boxes the fluttering grew perceptibly less, and my strength increased. As credit for this charge was due to the Pink Pills. I continued their use, and soon found my health fully restored." Mrs. Middleditch further says that her daughter-' in-law, Mrs. Albert Middleditch, has been permanently cured of dyspepsia by the same medicine. Whereas a few years ago her life was one of misery, she is now enjoying the best of health, and is not only able to attend to her household duties, Iml 22 PmiL PILLS CURE PARALVSIS AND ALL DISEASES OF THE NERVOUS SYSTEM. AN INCURABLE CURED. AFTER TREATMENT IN CANADA'S FAILED. BEST HOSPITAL HAD One of the Most Remarkable Cases on Record— Ten Years of In- tenso SufFerlne fr^m Acute Rheumatism— The Whole Body Contracted and Out of Shape in Every Limb. From the Newmarket Advertiser. We suppose there is not a resident of Newmarket woo does not know Mr. J. A. MoCfiUt, who does not know of his years of sufTering, and who has not heard of his release from a life of helplessness and pain through the medium of Dr. Wil- liams' Pink Pills. Indeed we doubt if in the annals of medicine there is a more remarkable restoration than has been accomplished in Mr. Moffatt's case, and he deems it his duty to man- kind to make the facts known through the columns of the Advertiser. Ten years ago Mr. Moffatt was work- ing in the Newmarket Hat Factory. Through the influences of the damp room, and possibly some carelessness in regard to his health, he was attacked with a severe cold which eventually set- tled in his limbs. For some years he was an almost constant sufferer from rheumatic pains and spent much money in treatment for the trouble, but with no result beyond an occasional tempor- ary release from pain. Finally, to make matters worse he was attacked with malaria and rheumatic fever. He was then forced to go to the Toronto general hospital whenitwasfoundthat he was afflicted with torticollis (wry neck). During the first six months in the hospital he was under the treatment of the staff electrician but the powers of electricity entirely failed, and after a consultation of physicians it w;is deemed advisable to perform an operation. Six weeks later a second operation was performed. 'Ihe operations proved suc*;esslul only m 30 lar as uicy ^^fiui^cu temiwrary relief. He remained in the hospital from November 1890, till January, 1802. and with all the modern remedies and appliances known to the staff of that well eq^pped institution, nopermanent relief could be obtained. He was then advised to go home, partly in the hope that the change might prove beneficial, but instead he continually grew worse, end in March, iBo^a. was again forced to take to his bed, and those who know of his condition did not believe he had long to live. At this time every joint in his body was s^olic.i and distorted, and he suffered the most excruciat- ing agony. If a person walked across his bedroom it intensified the painaS' though he v/as being pierced and torn with knives, and if touched he would scream aloud with agony. In this state of hopeless suffering he remained bedfast for eighteen months, all the while using all manner of medicines from which relief might be hoped for. Then he was put under the treatment of a celebrated Toronto specialist, but with no better result. After this last experiment failed, he determined to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, at the same time discontinuing all other treatment. At the end of three months there was a v^ry noticeable improvement in his condition, so much so that his mother thought he could be lifted outside. He was still ^so weak, however, that he was only able to remain up a few minutes. Next day he was again lifted out- side for a few minutes as before. When taken back to bed he felt a sudden tingling sensation going up from his toes and through his joints and spine. The next morning when he awoke the jjain had left the body and lodged in the arms, and then for some weeks the pain flitted from place to place in the arms and then disappeared, and he has not had a particle of pain since. All this time he was taking Dr. Williams' Pink Pills and slowly but surely regaining his strength. 1 hen an invalid's chair was pro- cured, and he was wheeled out ; eventually he was able to wheel himself about. The continued use of the Pink Pills constantly added to his strength, and then the chair was discarded for crutches, and then the crutches for a cane. At this time (Sept. , 1896,) Mr. Moffatt had so far recovered that he was a frequent contributor to the columns of the Advertiser, and procuring a horse and buggy he was engaged as local reporter for the paper. The once utterly helpless invalid is now able to go about, and to get in and out of his buggy without any assistance, and is at his post of duty wher- ever called upon. Thus we find that after ) ears of suffering and helplessness Dr. Williams' Pink Pills have proved successful alter all other remedies and the best of medical treatment had utterly failed. With such marvellous cures .as this to its credit, it is no wonder that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills is the most popul.ir medicine with all classes throughout the land, and this case certainly justifies the claim put forth on its behalf that it "cures when other medicines fail.' Heart Trouble Cured. Mr. John Landon, a wdl known fanner liv ng near Chickney, N.W.T., says :— " During the early part of 1896 1 w.isgrcallytroubleil with irregular beating of the heart Sometimes it almost ceased to beat altogether, and at other times it beat too rapidly. Omcial Statistics Show that in Ontario Alone 2,023 Deaths Resulted from this Cause in 1892, 93-94— How to Avoid the Baneful After Effects of this Scourge. Very few people have any conception of the deadly effects'ofla grippe or influenza, which with each recurring winter sweeps over Canada, leaving in its trail death and broken constitutions. If an equal number of deaths were caused by say cholera, the whole continent would be in a panic, and it is only because the deadly effects of la grippe are not understood that its approach is viewed with ler.s apprehension. Dr. lityce, the very efficient health officer for Ontario, in his annual report to the provincial government, shows that the deaths in Ontario alone from the effects of fa grippe for the years i8q2, 93-94, reached the aggregate of 2,023, a number suffi- ciently large to make us view the sco>nge with positive alarm, for in addition to this mortality, there are beyond doubt thousands who from the same cause are left with shattered health and ruined constitutions. La grippe is a disease of the nerve centres, with a S|)ecially marked effect upon the heart, and the obvious duty of those who have suffered from even a mild attack is to strengthen and fortify the nerve forces. For this purpose Dr. Williams' Pink Pills act more promptly and thoroughly than any other medicine yet discovered. Their function is to supply impoverished blood with its lacking constituents, and to build anew shattered nerves. That Dr. Williams" Pink Pills perform what is claimed for them in this respect is proved by the voluntary testimonials of those who have been restored to health. One strong case in point is that of Mrs. A. Giatton, of Hull, Que. To a newspaper reporter who interviewed her, Mrs. Gratton said :— " I w.as always a strong and healthy woman up to about four years ago. At that time I had a severe attack of la grippe, the affr effects of which left me weak and nervous, with pains in my back and stomach, and almost constant severe headaches, I found myself so completely used up that 1 w.as unable to do any work alxjut the house, no matter how light. My aj^pctite had gone and I had no relish for any kind of food. For about a year I continued to be thus tortured, getting no freedom from pain either day or night. I had tried dilTcient kinds of medicine prescribed by a physician, but they did me no good. I began to believe that medicine would not cure me, and as I always had a terrible cough I feared I was sinking into consumption. One day a frifiid advised me to try Dr. Wiiiiams' Pink Pills. I had heard and read much about this medicine, but had not thought of it as a cure for myself, but I felt that it might be worth trying and procured a supply, and after the use of a couple of boxes I began to feel an improvement. 1 continued their use until I had taken twelve boxes, when I found myself fn-e from pain, with a good appetite, and a& well as ever I was in my life. Last Decemlier, as the result of a severe cold, I w.as again taken ill, but this time I tried no experiments with other medicine, but went straight to Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, with the most beneficial results as you car. see for yourself. I have such faith in Pink Pills that I never allow tjiysetf to Ix; without a box, and take them occasionally as a tonic, and I will be glad if nay experience will prove helpful to some other poor sufferer." Weak and Run Down— Cured. Mrs. H. T. Smith, Kenlis, N. W.T., says :— " During the early part of 1895 1 was very weak; so weak indeed that I could h.ardly crawl around to do my housework. My whole system was in a run-down condition, and 1 was constantly taking medicine prepared by a draggist, but found no benefit from it. One day my husband brought home a lx)x of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and after I had used them a few days I felt they were helping me. I kept on taking them for several months, when I found my health recovered. Just as I was beginning to enjoy life again I had the misfortune to be thrown from a buggy, and was seriously hurt. I must have been injured internally, for I suffered considerable pain, which kept getting worse. Then I began taking Pink Pills again, and soon the pains left me, and once more I enjoyed good health. 1 now recommend Pink Pills to all my friends who are suffering from weakness m any forna. Sciatic Rheumatism Cured. Mr. John Mercer, Mallorytown, Ont., says :— " For more than five years I have been a great sufferer from sciatic rheumatism, and frecpiently for a period of a month or more I would be confined to the house. The result was that I was reduced la flesh and at times suffered from pains and fluttering of the heart. From the Morrisburg Herald. Mrs. Hill, wife of Mr. Robt. Hill, of Winchester, not many months ago was looked upon as one whose days were numbered. To-day she is a handsome, healthy woman, showing no traces of her former desperate condition, and it is therefore little wonder that her case has created a profound sensation in the neighborhood. To a reporter who called upon her Mrs. Hill expressed a willingness to give the story of her illness and recovery for publication, and she told it with an earnestness that conveyed to the listener better than mere words could do her deep gratitude to the medicine which had brought about her restoration to health and strength. " I feel," she said, " almost like one raised from the dead, and my case seems to me little short of miraculous. About a year ago I was confined, and shortly after I was taken with canker in the mouth, and suffered terribly. Although I had good medical attendance, I did not seem to get better. In fact other complications set in, which seemed fast hurrying me to the grave. I grew weaker and wea"' ..•, until at last I was confined to l)ed, where I lay for three months. My bowels were in a terrible condition, and at last the doctor said he could do no more for me, as, with the other complicatidns, I had consumption of the bowels. My limbs and face became terribly swollen, my heart became weak, and my blood seemed to have turned to water. I became simply an emaciated living skeleton. At last the doctor told me that I was beyond the aid of human skill, and that further attendance on his part would do no good. One day some time later my friends stood around my bedside, thinking every moment to see me breathe my last ; but I raUied, and at the urgent solicitation of a friend it was decided at this apparently hopeless juncture to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a trial. In less than two weeks a slight improvement had taken place, and from that out I slowly but surely progressed toward recovery, until, as you can see for yourself, I am once more a healthy woman. It is impossible for me to express how grateful I feel towards Dr. Williams' Fink Pills, which, under God's blessing, have restored me to health and family and friends. I feel that the world should know my stonr, so that some other suffering sister may be able to find health in the medicine which I t>elieve will never fail" .^^^^____________ Mr. William Breree, Hilton, Ont, says;— " It is with pleasure that I speak in favor of your Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I have been tormented with rheumatism for fifteen years. I have only used four boxes of the pills, and am greatly relieved, aad ftel Mire they will entirely cure me." Swollen and Dropsical— Cured. Mrs. Alex. Ross, Broad Cove, N.S. , says : — " liarly in the summer of 1896 I was taken ill. Prior to that I had always enjoyed good health. I seemed weak and easi'y tired. Then my arms, hands and legs became swollen and pained me terribly. My troubles seemed like dropsy. I tried several doctors and took their medicines, but got no relief. In fact one of them told me I could not be cured. In this state 1 sulfered for some time until I was advised by a friond who had herself experienced great bene- fit from the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, to try them. I did so, and after taking a couple of boxes could notice no improvement and was discouraged. However, at the earnest solicitation of my friend, I continued their use and was on my sixth box when the longed for improvement came. From that out it was steady and rapid. My limbs assumed their normal size and shape, my appetite improved, and by the time I had taken eleven boxes I was a well woman. I make this statement to encour- age those in doubt, as I was, about taking this medicine. I believe it the best on. earth, and that under Providence it cured me." After EfTects of La Grippe— Cured. Mr. D. Hefron, a well known farmer living near Charleston Lake, says : — "I had: a severe attack of la grippe and was unable to recover my former health. I lost all ambition and even the lightest of my farm work left me weak and tired out I would have spells of dizziness accompanied by pains in my back th.at would sometimes last for days. Frequently I could not get to sleep until near morning, and when I arose I felt more tired than when I went to bed. 1 had tried several medicines, but got no good from them, and then I determined to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, After 1 had tried a couple of boxes there was a decided improvement. I could sleep better, my spirits rose and I began to look for my meals half an hour before the usual time. I continued the use of the Pink Pills some time longer and found my health fully restored. I am now an enthusiastic friend of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and will always look lo. them for relief if illness attacks me." Kidney Trouble Cured. Mr. Thomas Kennedy, of Phillipsville, Ont., is one of the best known men in, that section of the country, having lived there for nearly half a century. Mr. Ken- nedy says : — " For five years I have been a great sufferer with terrible pains in my stomach and across the small of my back. I also suffered from urinary troubles, which caused me much distress and inconvt^'ience. The pains from which I suffered were so severe thai night after night I lay on my bed witnout sleep, and my life was. fairly a burden. Since I tiegan the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills I have been getting better right along. They have greatly eased the pain in my stomach, and the urinary trouble is gone. I now sleep and rest well, and cannot say too much in praise of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, which helped me .',0 quickly and wonderfully. I can recommend them as the best remedy I know of for those suffering from kidney trouble." ^6 DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS BRING BRIGHT EYES AND ROSY CHEEKS. PARALYSIS CONQUERED. AT LAST IT YIELDS TO THE ADVANCE OF MEDICAL SCIENCE The Strong Testimony of a Man who was a Half-dead, Bed-ridden Invalid— He Now Rejoices in Renewed Health and Strength- Doctors Admit that Paralysis is no (onger Incurable. There is nothing in life sadder than to see a strong man stricken with paralysis. Alive, yet dead to the duties and activities that belong to life, the paralytic, until a comparatively recent period, was doomed to pass the remainder of his days in a hope- less and helpless condition. But since the discove; y of that wonderful medicine given to the world under the name of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, those stricken with this formerlj' 'ncurable disease have now the means of regaining health, strength and activity. Hundreds in various parts of the country who were helpless, bed-ridden invalids have been restored to health by this incomparable medicine. Among those who have been thus fortunately restored to activity is Mr. Allan J, McDonald, a well-known resident of Nine Mile Creek, P.E.I. Mr. McDonald says: — " In the fall •of 1893 1 injured my back, and during the year succeeding suffered great pain. I had no less than four physicians attend me at different times, but without any benefit. Before the end of the year I was forced to give up all active work and was rapidly falling into a condition of utter helplessness. On two occasions the doctors encased me in plaster of paris, but it did no good. My limbs kept getting weaker and weaker, with a twitching motion, and I dragged my feet when I tried to walk. Finally I lost all power of locomotion and absolutely all power of feelinfj from the waist down- wards, and I was as helpless as a piece of wood. In this half dead and half alive condition I laid in bed for eleven months, not able to help myself in the least. Physi- cally I did not suffer much, but mentally the agony of tho^e long, weary months cannot be described. I was at last told by the doctors that there was no hope for me, and that I was doomed to pass the remainder of my days a helpless, half lifeless piece of humanity. Providentially soon after this I read of a case similar to mine cured by the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. It gave me new hope and my frienrU gnt me a supply of the pills. After the use of a few boxes I found that life was slowly returning to my limbs. I continued using the pills, gradually getting stronger and stronger, until now, after the use of thirty-two boxes, I am able to walk about smartly and can do light work, and I fee that I am gaining new strength every day. Words cannot «xpress the thankfulness I feel at again being able to go about actively after passing through that terrible ordeal, and I sincerely hope that my experience may be the means of bringing back hope and health to some other sufferer." A Sevepe Case of Dyspepsia Cuped. Mr. Wilson Buck, of Emestown, Ont., says;—" I am thankftil to say that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills have cured me of a severe case of dyspepsia. For a long time after feeling tha first symptoms of the trouble I indiscreetly refused to take anything for it. Finally I became so bad that I consulted a doctor, who helped me for a time, but finally the feeling of over-fullness after eating, accompanied by frequent vomiting, returned, and from this out I began to grow worse until finally I could not do any work about my farm. I was but a wreck of my former self, but I steadfastly refused to take medicine, for I had come to look upon my case as incurable. But after all, relief was nearer than I thought. I was urgently advised to try Pink Pills and finally yielded to the advice. I first tried one box, and thought they helped me, and then 1 gladly continued their use, gradually gaining in strength and feeling freer from the terrible stomach trouble ll.3t had made my life miserable, and I have no hesitation in ascribing my cute to Dr. Williams' Pink Pills." Husband and Wife Cured. Mr. David Maybee, of Consecon, Ont., is one of the most respected residents of that village. He is also another of the vast throng who have sought and found h&uth through the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and he tells his story as follows: — "About four years ago my arm became very lame, and I feared that I was going to lose the use of it. I consulted a doctor, who prescribed for me but without any benefit The doctor did not seem to know whether it was a strain or rheumatism. As I was receiv- ing no benefit from his medicine I decided to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and after the use of a few boxes my arm was entirely well, and I have not been troubled with it since. Mrs. Maybee was also much run down in health and stren^h and for a time was unable to do her housework. She also began the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, with the result that in less than two months she bad completely regained health and strength." Aftep Effects of La Gpippe— Cuped. Mr. Chesley Burtt, of Traceyville, N.B., says:—" While working in the C. P. R. machine shops at McAdam Junction a couple of years ago I h.ad a severe attack of la grippe. "The trouble appeared to have left the seeds of disease in me. I lost my appetite, became weak and dispirited, and so generally run down that I had to dis- continue iny work for some length of time. I consulted z. doctor and look his medicines with no beneficial results. Kidney trouble set in, and I became discouraged, and feared I would never get any better. A friend came to see me, and asked if I had tried Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I said I had not, and he replied, ' They are just the thing you want.' It was thus that I was induced to give them a trial, and I am thankful to say I did, for after I had used a few boxes I was completely restored to health. I am now a well man, who never loses an opportunity to say a word in favor of Pink Pills." PINK PILLS ACT DIRECTLY UPON THITbLOOD AND NERVOUS SYSTEM. • \ t . • 27 THEIR FAMILY MEDICINE. so SAY THOUSANDS CONCERNING DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS. Mr«. John Wood of Notre Dame, N.B., says they Restored Her to Health and Strength after Other Medicines had Failed. From the Richibucto, N. B., Review. In the village of Notre Dame, N.B., live Mr. and Mrs. John Wood, respected by all who know them. Mrs. Wood had gone through a trying illness from which she IS now happily recovered, and this recovery created so much comment that your correspondent called upon the lady with a view to getting the facts for publication The reporter was cordially welcomed and was told by Mrs. Wood that she had no objection t(» making a statement for publication if it v/ere likely to benefit anyone else. She then gave the following particulars of her illness and cure. " For some time previous to February, i8(,6," said Mrs. Wood, " I had been feeling unwell and from that time out my health seemed to be going from bad to worse. I suppose the words general debility would best characterize my condition. I was weak, my blood seemed as thin as water. I felt continually drowsy, and yet could not get sound, refreshing sleep. My appetite was poor and I had no relish for food. I was reduced in flesh, and yet my limbs were bloated and swollen, and I was told that I had dropsy, but really I cannot say if this was the case. 1 tried several medicines, but they did me no good, and I almost felt like giving up in despair. One of my friends urged me to try Dr. Williams' Pmk Pills and I began using them in the early spring. It did not take very long to see that I had at last found a medicine that would cure me if anything could, for after taking a couple of boxes I felt both better in health and spirits than I had done for some months. From this out I gained strength continually. My flesh bee me sound and healihy, the bloating left n.e, my weight increased, and I soon found myself restored from the position c: an unfortunate invalid to a strong and healthy person. I can say nothing but words of praise for Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and I strongly recommend them to all who may be suffering." Mr. Wood endorsed what his wife said, and added that Pink Pills would hereafter be their family medicine. Indigestion Rnd Stomach Tpouble. Mrs. J. Thane, Warkworth, Ont., says :— " I was troubled with indigestion for years, and at times the awful gnawing sensation in the stomach seemed a living death. After having tried a number of medi>:ines with no success I decided to give Dr. Williams' Pink Pills a trial, and to my great joy they have worked a complete restoration. Money cannot estimate their worth to me, and i heartily recommend them to similar sufferers," Was GoiniT into a Decline— Cured. Mr. Theodore Pare, the well known proprietor of the Hotel St. Lawrence, at St. Ann de Beaupre, says:— "I have to thank you for the restoration to health of my daughter through the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. Her health began to decline ; sometimes she was feeling extremely miserable, and at others a little better. She became very pale, had no appetite, and was tuable to do anything. I called in a doctor, but she did not seem to improve under his treatment, and finally he told me the symptoms were those of consumption. At that time a distinguished lawyer from Philadelphia was a boarder at my hotel, and seeing my child's condition told me that he had personal knowledge of a similar case cured by the use of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and urged their use. I decided to follow his advice, and purchased a half dozen boxes. When these were used there was a good improvement noticeable, and I procured another supply. She continued taking the pills, and her health and strength returned daily, and before the last supply was exhausted she was fully restored to her former health, and has since been well and strong." A Rheumatic Suffepep Cured. Mr. Wm. Carroll, Sidney, Man., says:—" It is with great plea.sure that I send you this testimonial, and if it will induce any poor mortal suffering with rheumatism to use Dr. Williams' Pink Pills and find relief as I did, I will rejoice. I am now over sixty years of age, and have been a sufferer from rheumatism for more than twenty years. When living in Ontario I was so bad that I tried several doctors, and spent a great deal of money, but got no permanent relief. After coming to Manitoba I got worse, and life became a burden. I could not rise from my bed or put my clothes on without help. I took almost every kind of i.iedicine said to cure rheumatism, but without getting from them more than a little relief for a short time. I liecame so despondent that I thought there was no cure for me this side of the grave, and the pain was so great that life was a burden. I was urged to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and by the time I had taken three boxes I knew they were helping me. After I had taken twelve boxes there was neither a pain nor an ache left. My former condition and . present health are well known to all in this vicinity. 1 can and do strongly urge rheumatic sufferers to give this wonderful medicine a fair trial." A Suffepep ft>om Sciatica Cuped. Mrs. John Barber, of Easton's Coiners, Ont., says : — " For three yearS 1 suffered terribly from sciatica. The pain at times would not allow me to sleep or rest any- where. 1 cciild come downstairs, but had to be helped back. A large swelling carne- on my right hip, and from there to my knee the pain was unbearable. It also affectetl « my arms to such an extent that I could not lift my hand to my head. 1 could do no. work whatever, and was growing despondent, when I decided to give Dr. Williams" Pink Pills a trial. The result is they have made me a new woman, and relieviHl nve of every vestige of pain. My huslxind was also troubled with rheumatism, and this grand medicine has cured him." 26 DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS CURE ALL FORMS OF FEMALE WEAKNESS. HEART FAILURE. Great Danger Involved in Weak Heart Action — The Trouble can be Cured. FrOB the Magog, Que., News. Mr. D. A. Bullock, boatbuilder of Georgeville, is well and favorably known to all the residents of that village. He has passed through a very try.ng illness from which his friends feared he could not recover, but he is once more happily cnjoving good health. To a correspondent of the M.agog News, Mr. Bullock recently gave the par- ticulars of his illness and cure, saying that he would be very glad if his experience would prove helpful in enabling someone else to regain health. He says : — "There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Williams' Pink Pills brought me from the horrors of death to the glad cheerful world. Some years ago, owing to over work and trouble, I was reduced to a weak state of health, wherein the heart failed to do its work properly, and not unnaturally the stomach became inactive. I had visits from three doctors, but without beneficial results. The medicine given by one of them caused a nervous shock that prostrated me for several weeks. "I'he last one who treated me gave me a preparation of strychnine which upset my kidneys to such an extent that I was con- nned to the house and daily growing weaker. 1 had to keep stimulants constantly at my side to keep the heart at work, and even with this artificial aid its action was very fainU Then 1 began to try advertised medicines, but still without any good results. I los strength, flesh anrl hope. I was advised to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and that reminded me that I had a box of them at my place of business, which had been lying there for more than a year. Without very much confidence in them I decided to give the pills a trial. The result I must confess seemed to be almost magical. I had not taken the Pink Pills long when I was able to rest in my chair and take good refreshing sleep, something that had not taken place for months before. From that •day with the use of the Pink Pills I continued to grow in strength, and ayn to-day a strong and healthy man. I believe that even Pink Pills should be assisted in their good work on the system, and that assistance is exercise, and this exercise I took from the time I began to regain my strength. I have now every faith in this medicine and .believe that if those who are sick will use it health will be the reward." Would not be Without Pink Pills. Mr. James McDougall, Sr., of Omf>ah, Ont., writes : — " Dr. Williams' Pink Pills Is a medicine that I have kept in the house for years and I cannot recommend it too highly. I once had a slight attack from sun stroke, and it left me very weak, and with a frequent feeling of dizziness. I took Dr. Williams' Pink Pills and soon all the feeling of dizziness was gone and I grew strong again. If I do not feel well at any thne I take a few doses of Pink Pills, which set me right. Some others in mv family liava also Sound them useful and we would not be without them in the bouse.' M uscu lap Rhe umatism— C uped. Mrs. Margery Flynn, of St. John, N.B., says: — " About twenty years ago 1 was attacked by muscular rheumatism. My fir^it attack was in the lower limbs and I was crippled for weeks, suffering intensely all the time. 1 used all sorts of liniments and rheumatic compounds, from which I got some relief, but it w.is only temporary. It would travel from my limbs to my back, and from my back to my arms, and then to my fingers, some of which were nearly disjointed. 1 suffered intensely, mentally as well as physically, for more than fifteen years. Besides using liniments and praprietary medicines, my family physician prescribed for me, but the result was always the same, no perceptible or merely temporary relief. About three years ago I began taking Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. In a month I felt that I had found a cure for my trouble. In six months it had left me altogether, and I have not since had any retiu-n of it." Aftep Effects of Measles— Cuped. Alexander Later, Huntsville, Ont., writes : — "Two years ago I was attacked with measles. A few days after they had left me a second rash broke out, from which I suffered intense misery. I at first tried liniments, but they did me no good. Then I tried internal medicine, but with no better result. My appetite left me and I felt in a generally used up condition. Day by day I seemed to grow worse. I felt an inclination to sleep, but rould not, and hope of gaining rcliijf was fiiding. One day while reading a newspaper 1 came across an advertisement of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, and determined to try them. Before I had completed the use of one box I was better, and by the time I had taken two more I was .again entirely well, and I gratefully urge a trial of this wonderful medicine upon other sufferers." Heapt Tpouble Cuped. Mrs. John Sager, wife of a promment farmer living near Egan Creek, Ont., says: — "1 am glad to have an opportunity to make known to other sufferers the wonder-working powers of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I was very sick for over six months, and was umible to do work of any kind for that time. I was extremely weak, subject to dizziness, pain in the side, and faint and smothering spells. The doctor pronounced my trouble heart disease, and nothing seemed to relieve me until a friend advised me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pills. I soon found benefit from them, and after the use of eleven boxes vi'as as well and stronij as ever I hnd been, and am now able to do my housework without any trouble. I ain heartily recommend Pink Pills to those troubled as 1 was. " FOR LOSS OF APPETITE AND GENERAL WEAKNESS USE PINK PILLS. 29 TWO MONTHS TO LIVE. That was what a Doctor Told Mr. David Moore— The Remarkable Experience of One who was an invalid for Years — Six Doctors Treated him without Benefit. PnHn the Ottawa Journal. Mr. David Moore is a well known and much esteemed farmer living in the county of Carieton, some six miles from the village of Richmond. Mr. Moore has been an invalid for some years, and physicians failed to agree as to his ailment. Not only this, but their treatment faikd to restore him to health. Mr. Moore gives th-; following account of his illness and eventual restoration to health. He says :— " My first sick- Bess came on me when I was sixty-nine years of age. Prior to that I had always been a strong, healthy man. I had a bad cough, and was growing weak and in bad health generally. 1 went to North Gower to consult a doctor, who, after examining me, said, ' Mr. Moore, I am very sorry to tell you that your case is very Rcrious, so much so that I doubt if you can live two months.' He said my trouble was a combination of asthma and bronchitis, and he gave me some medicine and some leaves to smoke, which he said might relieve me. I took neither, becatise I felt sure I had neither trouble he said, and that he did not understand my case. Two dayr later I went to Ottawn and consulted one of the most prominent physicians there. He gave a thorough examination, and pronounced my ailment heart trouble, and said I was liable in my present condition to drop dead at any moment. 1 decided to remain in the city for some time, and undergo his treatment. He wrote a few lines on a piece of paper, giving my name and place of residence and trouble, to carry in my pocket in case I should die suddenly. I did not seem to be getting any better vmder the treat- ment, and finally left the city, determined to consult a doctor nearer home. I was again examined, and the idea that I had heart disease was scouted, the doctor saying there was many a man following the plow whose heart was in a worse shape than mine, I remained under the treatment of this doctor for a long time, but got no better^ Then my case was made worse by an attack of la grippe, which left behind it a terrible t^ain in my neck and shoulders". This became so severe that I could not raise my head from my pillow without putting my hand to it and lifting it up. I doctored on until I was trying my sixth doctor, and instead of getting better was getting worse. The last doctor I had advised me to wait until the heat of summer was over, when he would blister me for the pains in my neck and shoulders, which he felt sure would relieve it. I was on my way to Richmond to undergo this blistering when I met Mr. Gto. Argue, of North Gower, who told me of the wonderful cure Dr. Williams* Pink Pills had wrought in him, and advised me strongly to try them. I went on to Richmond, but instead of going to the doctor's, I bought some Pink Pills and Mttarned homa and began luing them. Before I fcid finished my second bo* there was no room to doubt that they were helping me. I kept on taking the Pink Pills, and my malady, which the doctors had failed to successfully diagnose, waf rapidly leaving me. The pain also left my neck and shoulders, and after a couple of months treatment I became strong and healthy. I am now in my 7; th year and thatdc God that I am able to go about with a feeling of good hciilth. I still continue taking the Pills occasionally, feeling sure that for a person of my age they are an excellent tonic. After the failure of so much medica* treatment I feel sure that nothing else than Pink Pills could have restored nie to my present condition." DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS FOR MEN YOUNG AND OLD. I suffered for upwards of a month from a severe cold in the Bead, which, despite the use of other remedies, was becoming worse and developing mto catarrh. I procured a bottle of Nasal Balm, and was relieved from the first application, and thoroughly cured within twenty-four hours. 1 cheerfully add mv aastimony to the value of Nasal Balm." ' ' . .u^'*",^- ?• J'"^^l; Margaree, C.B. , writes :— " It gives me great pleasure to testify t» the value of Nasal Balm as a cure for catarrh. Some time ago I was suffering from this loathsome disease, but after using two small bottles of Nasal Balm I felt completely cured. I had before this tried three remedies, but they were of no oap to me. Miss Leotta Noyes, Bamston, Que., writes:— "I consider it a duty as well as a plea.sure to give my testimony in favor of your Nasal Balm. I was a great sufferer from this disease for four or five years, and tried many remedies, but to no avail, until I was advised to use Nasal Balm by a friend who had proved its efficacy. I pro- cured a bottle, and before it was half ased was completely cured, and I have not had * J?^£.» catarrh since that time. I can strongly recommend it to all suffering from Rev. Eli Woodcock. Belleville, Ont.. says:—" I have been severely troubled with catarrh for fifteen years. On the recommendation of a friend I tried Nasal Balm 1 have used part of a small bottle, which has given me great relief." _ I ^:u®' Jackson, Hawkesbury. says :— " I connot speak too highly of Nasal Balm, as less than one-half bottle cured me of a severe case of catarrh. I had tried several other advertised remedies without receiving any relief. I am perfectly willing that you should use my name as a reference, as I consider the medicine worthy of all praise.
