 Academy of Music, last night, with the familiar 
 and popular play of "After Dark." The theatie 
 was crowded to the doors, and no more enlhusi- 
 astic audience ever greeted a company of players. 
 The scenery is new and correct, being descri|)tive 
 of scenes and incidents in the English capital. 
 The second act is a representation of the river 
 Thames by moonlight, with the city of London in 
 the distance. Arirerofreal water occupies the 
 rear portion of the stage. Into this the girl Eliza 
 is thrown and rescued by old Tom. The acting
