To amend and consolidate certain of the By-Laws of the Township of Wilmot and for other purposes. WHEREAS it is deemed expedient and neitessary to amend and con- .solidate certain of the By-Laws of the Township of Wihnot in tlie County of Waterloo and to make better piovision for the governnjent of the said Township. Be it therefore enaetetl by the t'orporation of the Township of Wilmot by the MunicijMl Council tliereof in Cf»uncil duly convened and assem- bled and it is hereby enacted-- I . This By-l^w may Iw «tited as "The Consolidatcil Bv-I^w.s of the Township of Wilmot, 1888". S5. That the Council shall meet at the Township Hall, liaden, on the M Monday in each Month at 10 o'clock in the forenoon (unless other- wise specially provided) and if at 10 o'clock there be no quorum the R(!eve or chairman may tak<' the chair and adjoiu-n with the consent of the majority of those present. And that in all proceedings had or taken in the Municipal Council of the Corjioration of the Township the follow- ing Rules and Regulations shall b<' olwerved and shall be the Rules and Regulations ft»r the oi-der and dispatch of business in the said Council and from and after the passing of this By-I^aw all former Rules and Re- gulations shall b<' repealed. RuLK 8. The keeper of every livery or oth(!r stable shall keep his stable and stable-yard clean, and shall not permit between the fifteenth day of May and the first day of Nov(imber, more than two wagon-loaila of manure to accumulate in or near ti.e same at one time, except by per- mission of the Board of Health. The Local Board of Health of Wilraot would further advise (ii; con- formity with the Public Health Act) all School Trustees to keep a vigi- lant sui)ervision in regard to the wells at their school grounds in cder to have at all times clean and wholesome drinking water for the scholars and keej) the pumps in good repair; also to keep the privies in a clean condition, and have the execreta from time to time removed or disin- fected. In case Trustees neglect to do their duties in this respect, Teacliers have to notify them at once or give notice to the Sanitary Inspector or any other member of the Board. Any person who violates Sec. 4, 1 3, 39, 46, or Rule 5, 6, 8, or any other regulation of this Board shall be liable for such offense to a penalty under Sec. 18 of the "Public Health Act" By-Law. And any person refusing or neglecting to remove any accumulation of filth etc. from his I)remises, the Board of Health may have the same removed, and the charges shall be recoverable in the same mannei as municipal taxes.
