lishing the now College in question, would we be allowed to express to you the vows in form, that it
wouIm please you to take with the church-Mardens and gentlemen of the Fabriqm; of this city if you think
it necessary such arrangements as would suit you and the church-wardens, in order that the said St.
Patrick's eHtablisliment may become the pro|)erty of your Seminary, and that you may then be so good
as to otler the li(!verond Fathers of the Society of .Tesus, on such a splendid local the same advantages
that you offered tlicm on your farm at the Mountain, and should the present petition please you, we hope
that by generous contributions it will be in |5our power to erect a College that will respond to ttio gri
dour and fiiture prosperity of the city.

In taking that step, Mr. Superior and gontlomcn of St. Sulpice, you shall complete for this City and
Parish the great work of Education undertaken by you since leaving aside the Ecclesiastical and primary
Education that you give with so much success, the youth of this country shall find in that establishment
all the means of rendering themselves capable of fulfilling the different professions of Society in a way
honoural)lc to that same society, advantageous to jfour coi titry and glorious to yourselves.
