She shall at all times have a carcru! eye to the state of health of tho pupils, male as well as female ; and on any case of sickness occurring, give notice to the Principal, that the necessary medical aid may be at once procured. 5. She shall attend to tho domestic comfort of tho Principal, and comply with his directions as to his own private board and the regulation of his apartments, 0. Provisions and stores of all kinds, for tho use of the Insti- tution, shall be procured by the Matron, with the sanction of the Secretary, from tho cont'-actors, &c, ; and upon receiving them, she shall not only satisfy herself that there '.s tho (juan- tity chari^ed l()r, but that the quaiity is good. She shall keep them under her own care, and deliver only such a quantity at a time as shall enable her to know that it is consumed by the charity. Books shall be kept with every tradesman employed, in which each arhcle shall be entered at the time it is furnished ; and she shall see that nothing is lost or wasted. She shall regulate with propriety and economy tho diet of the boarders, &c., and she shall see that all the victuals rcnpiired for the establishment arc cleanly and properly cooked ; and she shall be careful that the meals are provided as prescribed by tho diet table, and take care that they are served at the stated hours. 7. She shall keep a weekly account of the provisions con- sumed in the Institution, and also of other necessaries, and be ready to produce it, at any time, when required. She shall also have charge and keep an inventory of the articles of furniture, linen, blankets, crockery, &c., belonging to the Institution, as well as the wardrobe of all the pupils in the house, with the exception of the hoys cloth clothes, caps and shoes. 8.
