Sii, Pursuant to the Resolve of the Grand Lodge of the 12th of September last, and of our appointment of the saaM date, we^ the undersigned viaitora of Countrv Lodges, proceeded on our mission, and on Tuesday the 1st instant, arrived at St. Andrtnra. wlian the St Andrew'a Lodge, No. 5. is held. A Lodge of emergency was called for the Thursday following, when we had the pleasure of mee^ng the oBeera and mem- bers of the St Andrew's Lodge, and communicating to them the with of the Grand Lodge, that a uniform mode of autk ahouU ba fidlanved throu^out its jurisdiction. The Lodge receivIS tlw information with pleasure, and we proceeded to instruct them in ne fbmia of opening and closing, and the work and lectures in the three degrees. The W. M., who is an active and zealous Mason, has promiKd to lorwaid the intndue- lion of the mode of work, u bid down by our instructions from the United Grand Lodge of England, and irom the knowledge we have of his abilities, feel satisfied, that this important object under his guidance, will speedily be efiected. We were particularly indebted to the kiodneaa of M. Davis, a P. M. of that Lodge, for many attentions, and an introduction to many worthy Brethren. Proceeding on our mission, we reached Hull sufficiently eariy to meet Columbia Lodge at ita regular monthly communication on the 8th November inktant: we rejoice that we are enabled to report our perfect satisfaction of the respectability of Oiia Lodge, and the hearty cutcurrence maniftsted by it, with the commands of the Grand Lodge of this District: we had the pleasure of initiating and rauing in thia ham during our visit We also instructed the W. Master in the mode of opening and closing the Loqp in the three denees. and ftvm the disposition of all ita members to meet the wishes of the Grand Lodge, we cannot but anticipate the most pleasing results. To the W. M. Eastabrook and to P. M. Bri^iam. we are i ndebted for much kindness and civility, as well as to the family of our old and worthy Brother Philemon Wright, Esqr. On the whole, we cannot reftain from expressing our satisfaction at perceiving that every measure of the Grand Lodge, afliectiog Private Lodges, n most eoldially assented to by every individual of the Crafts, whom we have had occasion to meet in the above Lodges : from the respectability of the members composing St Andrews and Columbia Lodges, as well as from their education and general information, we feel confident that (he atten- tion and regard of the Provincial Grand Lodge to their Lodges, will most essentially conduce to the general interest and well being of the Crafl. The lateness of the season has prevented us trom completing our visit to the remaining Country Lodges in this District, previous to the Festi- val of St John; but we purpose lo doing immedbtely after.
