Why then should we not unite ar.d force on whatever government is, or may be, in power, the (uioption in Canada of the Tariff

we will get from llm coming liarvest. We are driven, ther»fore, to look not altogether co consideration& of Revenue, but
ty avoid importing' foreign labour, in the shape of conimodi;i^f, to the greatest possible extent. We must at once hasten to lay
the foundation for the introduction from Eluroiie and tlie United States, into this Provmce (or within the operation of the cur-

genecal employment to all classes, and a Home market for our agricultural productions.
