William Cogs- well, with a view to afford opportunities of religious reading to the seriously disposed, and, with the blessing of God, to encou- rage and promote enquiry on the most important subject that can engage the human mind. 1 RULES. 1. — An Annual Subscription of six shillings and three pence ill advance, will entitle a subscriber to one book each week ; and of twelve shillings and sixpence to two books each week, and will be received either in quarterly or half yearly payments from those who cannot afford to pay it at one time. 2. — A Book must not be kept longer than a fortnight unless it is renewed, otherwise a line of three pence will be incurred for each Library day the book is kept beyond that time. The indulgence of having the Book renewed cannot be extended if two persons apply for it at the same time. 3. — Any book de&ced or otherwise injured will be charged against the person in whose possession the injury may have occurred. 4. — Any Subscriber lending a Book to a non-Subscriber will forfeit the Subscription for the remaining part of their time. N.B. — The Library, which now consists of about 700 Vols., will be open every Tuesday and Friday.
