The important and itnprcssive ceremony of installntio'i having been concluded and the R. W
vincial Grand Master and Offieeis of the Provincial Grand Lodge having vacated the chairs, the R. W. Master
on l)chalf of his Lodge, presented, with a most appropriate address, a magnificent gokl Past Master's jcwol, to
ihe retiring Master. R. W. Bro. R. H. Adams, and tiiankcd the Provincial Grand Mister for ids attendance
as follows :

" RicHT ^yoRs^lP^•UL Sir :— On behalf of the Officers and Members of Vancouver Lodge, over whom I
have boon called upon, by tlicir ^nfTrages. to preside, permit me to thank yon, and through you, the 01Iicoi% of
the Grand Lodge for the very able and agreeable manner in which you have perfoinied the "cremonics of our
installation. The ability and zeal which has ever Hiurncterized your actions in connection with our Ancient
and lldiioriible Order, would alone make it a plrnsirg dutv. as the Master of this Lodge, to tender you tho
warmest thanks ol its members. But the pleasure is doubly enhanced in the present instance, owi:ig to the new
(!haracter in which you appear before us, at^d 1 have no hesitancy in assuring you tlint amonnj the pleasing r»-

'Jo which the I'lovineial Grand Master replied :

and reciprocal gratitude. Although received and honored by you in my capacity as Provincial Grand Master,
1 flatter my.-;elf that 1 am one of yourselves, and tliaj, my humbie abilities, so kindly and generously referred to,
are without avail in fnlfilling theduties of my oflico unless with the assistance and cooperatioi of you all. Lot
me thank you for this free expression of yonr kiud.ed good wishes a^d to assure you of my hamblc endeavors
whenever required by the prineipiesofonr Ancient and Honorable Order generally.

The Lodge was then closed in due form.

The celebra'ion of the day was concluded by a Grand B»ll given by Vancouver Lodge, under the Patron-
age of the Provincial Grand Lodge, in the evening, at Alhambra Hall.
