There was no reiiuhir run to I he-e dilTerences, i.r., the hinh positives for the h\(lroi:en and helium lines did not necessarily occur with the hifih positive for the A' line. Sixty-five spectrograms were seciu-ed witli the -;in<:l(>-lirism camera, dispersion of :5:M tenth-metres per nun. at //>. Thirty-one of these wore on ^vvi\ 27. and the remainder on Seed 'JM I'.mulsion. the liiier-frrained plates improving coiiMderahly the (piality of the A.' as well as of the other linos. A few plates notalily 4;<:5ti and 177.') are of poor (|uality. Plate 427:? is peculiar. Taken inmiediately aftcT r->72 it shows two of the linos as comiilex though they api)ear as sinjile on 4272.
