This Society shall be called "Thb Centknaby Chdbcu Christian and Literary Society. II. Ladies and Gcntleintn identified with the Wesluyan Methodists, of Hamilton, either as members of the Church or ol the various congregations of Wesleyan Methodists in the City, shall be eligible for Membership. Society's meetings sball be held m the Lecture Koom of the Centenary Church, on Wednesday at half-past sev(»n o'clock p.m.. (fortnightly or oftencr if thought necessary by the Society) and close at an hour not later than ten o'clock. VI. The Office-bearers of the Society shall consist of a Presi- dent, four Vic(;-Pre8idents, a Secretary who may appoint an assistant, a Corresponding Secretary, a Trtasurer and a ('ommittee of Management (composed cf nine members.) The Officers to be ex officio members of such Committee I VII. The Office-bearers shall be nominated at the second miM^ting previous to the closing of the yea;, and shall be elected by the majority present at the last Mi'cting in each year, the vote to be taken by ballot, and the Officers to con- tinue in office until their successors are elected. SECRETARY AND TREASURER. XVII. The Secretary shall make minutes in a proper book, of the business transacted at all the meetings of the Society — shall, at every met-ting, read the minutes of the previous meeting — shall attend the committee meetings when required — shall keep an accurate list of members, and shall obtain their signatures to the Rules and Regulations, in a copy to be kept by himself, in which he shall iiisert all al- terations from time to timt; made therein. XVIII The Corresponding Secretary shall conduct all the Society's correspondence, and intimate 'to members the duties which, at any meeting they may be required to perform. XIX.
