Whereas by By-Law, by the Mucicipal Corporation of the County of Kent, on the 14th day of June last, entitled a By-Law to raise a sum of money to meet the current expenses of the County of Kent for the year 1862, the Municipality of the Town- ship of Raleigh is required to raise the sum of $1944.87 cents, as their proportion for said year, fo be paid to the Treasurer of the County, without any deduction, on or before the 3l8t day of December, 1862. Whereas the apportionment of the Legislative School Grant for the Township of Raleigh, for the year 1862, amounts to $352. According to the instruction of the Clerk of the Corporation of the County of Kent, the Municipality of the Township of Raleigh, is required to levy at least an equal sum of money, according to law, in such case made and provided. Whereat it is necessary to amend the above recited By-Law, in so lar as the same relates tu the Seventh Statute Labor Division, in what is now termed the First Rural Road Division m Town- ship of Raleigh. . , , ^ i * 1. Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Raleigh, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of an Act Cap. 64 of the Consolidated Statutes of Upper Canada, that the existing limits of Statue Labor Division No. 7« in the First Rural Road Division of the Township of Raleigh, be and is hereby abrogated and declared to eiist to longer. 2. That from the day of the passing of this By-Law, the sev- enth Statute Labor Division in the First Rural Road Division itt the Township of Raleigh, shall be divided into two Statute Labor Divisions, to be known and described as the Seventh and Twelfth Statute Labor Divisions, the Seventh Statute Labor Division, shall contain tie South halves of Lots No. 14 16, 16 and 17 in the Sixth Concession, and all of the Lots numbered 14, 16, 16 and 17, in the Seveth Concession. A BY-LAW to confirm the purchase of a certain piece of Land therein mentioned, for the purpose of buildiag a Town Hall thereon, for the Township of Raleigh. [Passed February 9th, 1863. And whereas it is necessary that the Municipal Corporation of the Township of Raleigh shall held a certain piece of Land (or the purpose of building « Town Hall, and other necessary buildings thereon, for the use of the said Township of Raleigh. 1. Beit enacted by the Municipal Corporation of the Township . of Raleigh, under and by virtue of an Act, Cap. 64 of the Consoli- dated Statutes of Upper Canada : That the half acre of land on the South West corner of Lot No. 16, on the Eleventh Conces- sion of the Township of Raleigh, purchased by the Corporation of the Township of Raleigh, frona Francis GoHlett, and held by a I>eed naade to the said Corporation by the aforesaid Francis Ooulett, shall be held and is hereby held by the Municipal Cor- poration of the said Township of Raleigh, for the purpose of erecting a Town Hall and other necessary buildings thereon, for the use of the said Township of Raleigh. 2.
