" The Members of the A^ricultaral Sooieties of the several Tovrnships within the County or United Counties wherein the Annual Exhibition may be held, and the members of the said ooua- Sor United Counties, shall be also members of e Association for that year, and have badf^es accordingly: provided the Agricultural Socie- ties of the said Townshlpc, or the Societies of the said County or United Counties, shall de- vote their whole funds for the year including the Qovernment Orant, in the aid of the Associa- tion. The Office-bearers of all County Societies shall have have badges of free entrance during the Show."— %-2^w. 1. The payment of Ss. and, upwards consti- tutes a person a member of the Agricultural Association of Upper Canada for one year ; nrd £2 10s for life, when given for that specific ob- ject, and not as a contribution to the local funds. 2. No one but a member witt bo allowed to compete for prizes except in classes 31, 33, 35 and 30. 3. All Entries must be made on printed forms, which may be obtained of the Secretaries of Agricultural Societies, free of charge. These forms are to bo filled up and signed by the ex- hibitor, enclosing a dollar for membership, and sent to the Secretary of the Association, Board of Agriculture, Toronto, os or before Satur- day, Sept. C, after which time a charge of 5s. ull he imposed on each article. Exhibitors in the Horticultural and Ladies' Departments may enter articles up to Tuesday Evening, Sept. 23., when the Uooks will be finally closed. Blood Worses and Tkorough-hrtd Cattle must be entered, and have their full Pedigrees proper- ly attested and sent to the Secretary in Toronto, not later than Saturday, iSept. dth. No animals will be allowed to compete as pure bred, unless they possess regular Stud and Herd Book pedi- grees, or satisfactory evidence be produced that they are directly descended from such stock. All animals entered in the Stock Register, kept by the Buivrd, will be allowed to compote without further enquiry. 4. Cards from the Treasurer's Office will be furnished each member, which will admit him- self only, free to every department of the Exhi- bition, during tho Show. Life moinbers admit- ted free. 5. Live Stock for breeding must be the property of persons re- ■ siding in Canada. All premiums for articles, except Stock, arc to be awarded to the manvfac- turers or producers only. 7. Discretionary Premiums will bo awarded for such articles as may be considered worthy by the Judges, although not enumerated in the List, and the Directors will determine the amount of premium. 8. In tho absence of competition in any of the Classes, or if the Stock or articles exhibited be of inferior quality, tho Judges will exercise their discretion as to the value of the premiums they recommend. 9. The Judges, Competitors, and Officers of the Association only will be permitted to enter the Show Grounds, until 12 o clock, on AVednes- day, at which hour Members will bo admitted. Non Members will be admitted on Thursday and Friday mornings after 8 o'clock. 10. No articles or Stock exhibited will be allowed to be removed from the grounds, till the awards are made, without the permission of the President, under the penalty of losing the pre- miums. An Auctioneer will be on tho ground after the premiums are announced and every facility afforded for the transaction of business. 11. Delegates, Judges and Members of the Press, are requested and expected to report themselves at the Secretary's Office immediately on their arrival. 12. The Judges are to meet at the Secretary's Office on the Grounds, on Wednesday morning, at 9 o'clock precisely, to make arrangements for entering upon their duties. 13. Arrangements will be made for Agricul- tural Lectures or Discussics during the even- ings of Wednesday and Thursday of the Show week. 14. While the Directors will take every possi- ble precaution, under tho circumstances, to en- sure the safety of articles sent to tho exhibition, yet they wish it to be distinctly understood that the owners of the articles must themselves take the risk of exhibiting them ; and that should any I article be accidentally injured, lost or ntolen, I the Directors will give all the assistance in their I power towards the recovery of the same, but I will not make any payment for the value I thereof. 15.
