CLAUSE 6. The funds of this degree shall consist of initiation fees, regular contributions, assessments and fines. CLAUSE 7. The initiation fee of this degree shall be $2.00, payable at initiation. CLAUSE 8. The regular contributions for this degree shall be 50c. per member per cpiarter, payable each quarterly night. Any member failing to pay his con- tributions ori said night shall be fmed loc. CLAUSE 9. Any member of this degree who, from illness or injury, should become unable to follow his employ- ment, shall be entitled to $2.00 per week sick benefit for thirteen weeks of continued disability from date of Lodge Surgeon's certificate. Should his illness continue longer, his case shall be con sidered by the Lodge. CLAUSE 10. No member shall receive sick benefit until he has been a member of the beneficiary department of this degree for three months. No member shall receive any benefit whose illness or injury has been brought on by his own misconduct, or is three months in arrears with his contributions or assessments. No member shall receive benefits for less than one week. Any member of this degree on falling sick shall niimcdiately notify the Secretary, whose duty it shall be to ni/tify the first Committeeman. Members when sick, and are able to do so, shall attend the Lodge Surgeon, at his office ; and if not able to do so, the said Surgeon shall visit them. It shall be the duty of the committee of this degree to attend sick members of the beneficiary department. CLAUSE 11. Due notice of sickness or death in the R.R.I), shall be sufficient for the beneficial y department of this degree. CLAUSE 12. Upon the death of a brother's wife, he shall receive the sum of 25c. per member; upon the death of a child between the ages of five and fifteen years, lor. per member; upon the death of a brother, his widow, heirs or legatees, shall receive the sum of 50c. per member, to be paid by special assessments as a funeral benefit, unless the funds of the degree are sufficient to pay the same assessments CLAUSE 13. i^nouivi lijc iuiid^. ui liiis aegree become low- through any unusual amount of sickness, the Presi- dent may call an immediate assessment of 50c. per member. Should said assessment not be required before the next regular quarterly meeting night, said assessment to stand as payment of the regular quarterly contributions. CLAUSE 14. There shall in no case be more than one spec ial assessment beside the regularquarterlycontributions m the same quarter, except the funeral assessments. Should the funds of this degree at any time exceed the sum of $100.00, the members shall be exempt from paying the next quarter's contributions. . CLAUSE 15. The funds df this degree shall not be used for any purpose whatever, except legitimate working ex- penses, and payments of sick and funeral benefits, as laid down in these By-laws, unless sanctioned by a two-thirds majority of members of this degree, at a regular or special meeting, of which all members in good standing have been given due notice of such motion. CLAUSE 16. A member who has paid all assessments and contributions, and has complied with the conditions and obligations of these By-laws, and who is in good standing in the R.R.D., shall be deemed a member in good standing in this degree. CLAUSE 17. Members six months in arrears shall be suspended from this degree. CLAUSE 18. CLAUSE 19. The Secretary of this degree shall receive for his services the sum of icc. per quarter for each financial member, payable quarterly. CLAUSE 20. No member shall be allowed to leave the Lodge- room during the transaction of business, unless by permission of the Worthy President, after saluting the chair. Any member wishing to cross the Lodge-room for any purpose shall pass below the altar, and salute the chair in so doing. CLAUSE 21. Property belonging to this degree shall under no pretence be taken from the Lodge-room, unless in charge of proper officers, and with the permission of the Worthy President. CLAUSE 22. The duty of the Officers of this degree shall be as laid down in the Constitution of the Order. CLAUSE 23. All sums of money in the hands of the Treasurer over $25.00 shall be de|)osited in some chartered bank named by the Lodge. CLAUSE 24. The rules of order and all other points not covered in these By-laws shall be governed by the Constitution of the Order. CLAUSE 25. Order of Business.
