 Three thousand two hundred victims 
 of small pox died during the Uie epidemic ; of 
 these, TWENTY FIVE HUNDRED were little child- 
 ren ; this out Herods Herod. 
 
 Why was the mortality so great among the 
 innocents ? Read the following and ji-dge for 
 yourself. 
 
 The following cases were reported by Dr. 
 J Emery Coderre, Professor of Victoria Uni- 
 versity, and for twenty years physician to the 
 Hotel Dieu Hospital, Montreal. 
 
 We claim that vaccination (luring an epidemic of 
 small nox propagates the disease. For proof of which 
 we refer to the following cases of vaccine disaster re- 
 Dortedby I)r Coderre, ProfessorofVicloiia University, 
 Montreal. They should he sufficient to convince all 
 who prefer truth to falsehood, science to superstition, 
 anri health to disease, that vacoination is utterly useless 
 as a protection from smallpox, and extremely dangerous 
 as an experiment. 
 
 Rose rtlba Gilbert, Montcalm street, a child of 7 
 months, took small pox 5 days after vaccination. 
 
 Marie Hamel. child of Alfred Hamel, 41 .Sanguinet 
 street, took small pox 7 days after vaccf.. <tion. 
 
 The four children of Mr. .Seers (employed at Lov- 
 elrs) took small pox some days afr«r vaccination and 
 all four died. 
 
 The child of Jean Malo, 159 St. Andre street, was 
 vaccmated on .Sept. 26, 1885, and tool: small pox on 
 Nov. 10 following. 
 
 The child of Louis Pontin, aged 6}i years, was 
 vaccinated and t:>ok small pox 8 days after. 
 
 Mr. Arihur viloliensky, advocate, was vaccinated 
 on Sept. 2nd, 1885, and suffered f'om a phlegmonous 
 abcess in the nrny,^it.

 took small pox after vaccination. 
 
 Charles Legace, 103 St. Charles~ Borromee street, 
 an employee of the corporation, to retain his situation, 
 was with his family vaccinated on the aoth of October 
 lasL and ten days after six of his children took the 
 smiU pox. 
 
 Dina Granger, 167 Beaudry street, aged 16 yeart, 
 was vaccinated in August Ust and died with small 
 pox on Se(>t 2nd following. 
 
 Ovila Loixeau, ai Plessis street, was vaccinated and 
 died one month after of small pox. 
 
 Joseph Durand, 57 Champlain street, 4 years of 
 age, took small pox after vaccination. 
 
 Anna Jane Bain, 13a Lagauchetiere street, took 
 small pox six weeks after vaccination. 
 
 D. Picault, 117 Montcalm street, 16 months old, 
 took small pox 8 days after vaccination. 
 
 The two children of Mr. Brouillet, 1175 Notre 
 Dame street, took small pox affer vaccination. 
 
 Thomas St. Amand, aged 9 years, child of Madame 
 St. Amand, 28 Voltigeurs street, took small pox if^
