Every article or animal requested to be entered for com- petition most be the bona fide property of the person in whose name the solicitation may be made, otherwise to forfeit an award and inear the censure of the board. 2. Every article entered for competition, excepting live stock and implements, must be on the ground by 11 o'clock a. m. on Thursday, Sept. 18th, to be arranged and judged in order that the booth may be open for exhibition in the evening. 3. The exhibition of live stuck and implements shall be held on one day, Friday, Sept. 19th. The Live Stock must be on the ground by 10 a. m., after which the grounds and building will be open for exhibition and remain so until i p. m. of that day. 4. Bulls must have a screw or ring in their nose to prevent accidents, otherwise they will not be permitted into show grounds. 5. Tickets issued by the Secretary mnst be attached to the re!«peotive animals etc., for which they were obtained, and every person not necessarily required on the grounds, must withdraw while the judges are officiating. *V 6. All grain must be grown by the exhibitor and be tha growth of this year. 7. All articles entered for competition in the mechanical de- partment must be new, manufactured by the exhibitor or parties in his employ during the present year. 8. All articles entered for competition in the ladies' and do- mestic de^rtmenta must be new and made ainoe last exhibition by exhibitors or their families, and have never been exhibited or taken a price at any former exhibition of this society. Yiolatisn of this rule will canae forfeiture of any awards that may have been made. 9. Horses and cattle shall not be allowed to compete in two classes, and no stallion shall compete in harness or under saddle. Buggy horses must be attached to baggies, heavy draught teams to lumber wagons, general purpose teams to democrats. 10. , Persons showing thoroughbred cattle must lodge pedi- gree with the secretary before entering. 11. No person can be judge of his own property, nor allow to exhibit and judge in the same class. 12. Persons interfering with the judges shall forfeit the right to any prike to which they may otherwise be entitled. 13. No person shall be allowed in the show room during the time of inspection by the judges exoept the officers appointed by the secretary to attend them, and no articles shall be removed from the show room or grounds until 4 o'clock p. m. on Fridav. Sept. 19th. •' 14. Onlv one prise shall be allowed to an exhibitor in one •ootion of a class. This rule does not apply to Live Stock and Poultry. 15. In addition to tho stated preminms offered in the follow- ing list, judges shall have the power to award premiums for suob articles not enumerated as they may consider worthy and the di- rectors shall determine the amount of premium. Judges will also have the power to grant or withhold prizes in case of inferiority in any class. 16. The judges will commence their duties at 11 o'clock a. m. precisely. 17. The animals and the articles to which prizes are award- ed, shall be distinguished by the judges attaching cards to the re- spective animals and articles as far as practicable, the colors to be: — first prize, red; second prize, bine; third prize, yellow; extra prize, green. 18. Judges are requested to report themselves to the Secre- tary at the hall immediately on their arrival in order to obtain the ueceseary instructitms and accommodations. 19. Entrance to grounds: double team 35 cents; single buggy 25 cents; driver and each person '25 cents. No teams or rigs shall be allowed to go faster than a walk on the grounds. 20. Though the directors will take reasonable precaution to insure the safety of the articles exhibited, they wixh it to be dis- tinctly understood that the owners must take the risk of exhibit- ing them, and should any article be lost or stolen, the directors will give every assistance in their power towards recovery of the same, but will not make any payment for value thereof. 21. All gambling strictly prohibited, aud the directors have the power to regulate or prevent the sale of all goods or merchan- dise on the grounds or within 300 yards of the same, and any per- son, after due notice, who violates this rule sliall be liable to be removed and subject to the penaltv of the law. 22. The price of next year's member's ticket will be deduct- ed from all persons taking prizes to the amount of $1.00 and over. NOTE. As it is essential to the satisfaoti^ry working of the exhibition that all entries be ma le iu seasonable time, the Secretary will be at the Queen's Hotel, New Hamburg, on Monday, Sept. 16th, from 2 to S p. m. , to receive entries. Parties may also send per mail (post paid) to the Secretary, Baden, on or before the 17tb of Sept. 1902, the entries they wish to make, and their tickets will be ready for them on morning of show. For entries made on show day 25 cents extra will be charged. The Treasurer will be at the Imperial Hotel, New Hahiburg, on Tuesday, Sept. 30th, from 2 p. m. to 5 p. m., to pay prizes. Parties can have their prize money sent by mail by sending order to Treasurer, Baden, stating what they took prizes for, postage will be deducted. Admission to grounds and hall 25 cents.
