T. — The name of the Club shall continue to be " The Montreal Skating Club," as was agreed upon at its formation, 12th November, 1859. II. — The Office-Bearers of the Club shall consist of a President, Vice-President, and Treasurer and Secretary. There shall also be a Committee of Management, composed of five Members, who shall elect their own Chairman — three to form a quorum, whose duties shall be to attend to the keeping and management of the Rink, engaging Rink-keepers, and such other incidental business as may not otherwise be provided for. The Ofl&ce-Bearers for the time shall be ex-officio Members of the Committee. III. — The Annual General Meetirig of the Club for the election of Ofiice-Bearers, &c., shall be held on the first Monday of November in each year ; and nine Members present shall be required to form a quorum at this and all General Meetings of the Club. An advertisement inserted in a newspaper of the day before, and morning of the Meeting shall be a sxifficient notification. IV.— The subscriptions to the Club shall be as follows : Family Life Ticket, $100. Family Season Ticket, $15. Single Season Ticket, $10. A "Family Life Ticket" shall admit the subscriber and all members of his family, with the exception of sons over eighteen years of age. A "Family Season Ticket" shall be subject to the same definition as the abo7e ; and it shall also be understood that married gentlemen without children shall be admitted on a Single Ticket ; and, also, that heads of families having one or more sons who are Members of the Club, shall have the same right, enjoying all the privi- leges appertaining to a Family Season Ticket. V. — Each candidate for admission shall be proposed by one Member and seconded by another, by a proposal in writing addressed to the Secretary, and shall be balloted for at any ballot that may take place after the lapse of one week from the time of such proposal, provided that the name of the candidate, as well as those of his proposer and seconder, be posted up in the Eink, under the hand of the Secretary, at least one week before the day of ballot. No ballot shall be valid unless taken at a General Meetino-, and one black ball shall exclude. VI. — The President, or, in his absence, the Vice-Presi- dent, or in the absence of both, the Chairman of the Com- mittee of Management may, of his own accord, and shall, on the written application of any three Members, call a General Meeting of the Club for the election of Members, or for any other purpose. a VII. — No Member shall be allowed to vote on any oc- casion whatever, or to enjoy any of the privileges of the Club, until he shall have paid all dues and subscriptions owing by him. VIII. — Any Member wishing to introduce a friend, who is a non-resident of the City, to the Rink, is empowered to do so on entering his name on a book provided for that purpose at the llink. IX. — Any Member whose dues ave all paid shall be at liberty to withdraw from the Club, on his written applica- tion to that clFect to the Secretary, before the first stated Annual Meeting of the Club. Non-payment of dues for two years to be considered equivalent to resignation, X. — The Rink shall be open from 8 o'clock a.m. until 10 o'clock p.m., and these hours will be strictly adhered to, unless the sanction of the Committee to any change shall have been previously obtained. XI. — Refreshments shall not in any case be paid for by the Club, nor are the Club funds to be made use of, on any pretence whatever, for this purpose. XII. — Dogs shall not be allowed in the building. XIII. — Smoking shall not be permitted in the building, except in the Gentlemen's Dressing-Room. XIV. — At the Annual General Meeting it shall be the duty of the Committee to present a Report and Abstract of the state of Accounts and general concerns of the Club, for the past year, together with an estimate of the Receipts and Disbursements of the current year, for the considera- tion of the Meeting and its further action thereon. 6 XV.- Any Mcnibor wilfully infrinrring the Constitution or any of the Re-ulutions of the Club, shall be liable to cxpulHion by u vote of two-tliirds of the Members present at a General Meeting specially had for that purpose— roa- sonable notice of such meeting having been previously -u-cn to such Member. ^ XVI.— Any Rule or Rules of the Club may be altered or amended, or new Rules added, with tho consent of two- thirds of the Members present, at any General Meeting of the Club, specially convened for that purpose— notice of such alteration, amenrment or addition having been given at any previous Genera) Meeting held at Icab. one week before.
