Conditions of Contract for the supply of New Wheels and
the purchase of Old or Scrap Wheels at Brantford and
Stratford.

1. The ooiitructor to supply Ciist Iron CliilU'd Wheels during the term of three years
ooninienciiig on 1st ot'Mtiy, 1877, and to deliver same at Stratford and Hrantford,
in such quantities as may be required.

•2. The Wheels are to be subject to the ai)proval of the Company's Mechanical
Superintendent.

3. Tliey are to be madt! entirely of " Salisbury," "Three Rivers," or other approved

brands of Cold Blast Iron, excepting " Lake Superior" Iron.

4. They must be made to tracing furnished by the Company and guaranteed to wear

for one year from date of being placed under engine or car, or failing this, to be
replaced by the (Contractor free of charge.

5. They will recjuire to be of xJS, :J0, ;j:{ and '-U) inches in diameter, the last two men-

tioned sizes being botii broad and narrow tread.

6. The Company or its agents shall have the right to examine the Wheels during

their construction and niannfacture, and also the Invoices of the Iron purchased
and used in the manufacture of the Wheels, for the purpose of verifying the
quality of tiie Iron used. »

7. Tlie Contractor will be required to take all the old Wheels which the Company

iniiv have to dispose of at Urantford and Stratford during the term of the con-
tnict. at tlie rate of *-J-^>.l() per gross ton. Terms. ;3 months.
