The use of either Martini-Henry or Snider Rifle is optional in all matches. Unless otherwise specified the D.R.A. rules for 1896 will govern. Nurserymen are eligible to compete for prizes in the Grand Aggregate, in addition to the Nursery Ag- gregate, on payment of the entrance fee. One sighting shot at each range will be allowed, for which a charge of 10 cents will be made. Firing will commence at 8.30 a.m. on Friday, and at 1.00 p.m. on Saturday. Competitors wishing to do so can procure Martini ammunition at 3 packages for 50 cents. Entries. Entries for the individual matches (except the extra series) should be made not later than Wednesday, 19th August. Those received later will be subject to an additional charge of 20 per cent. Entries for the Grand Aggregate may be made up to 10 a.m. on Friday. The annual membership fee, which is one dollar ($1) must be paid at the time of entry. The right of mem- bership in the Association is restricted to residents of the Fourth Military District and the County of Ottawa, Q. The Secretary- Treasurer will be in attendance at his office. Central Chambers, on Wednesday 19th August, from 3 to 6.30 p.m., to receive entries from those de- siring to make them personally.
