 UNIFORM. 
 
 That as at present prescribed by His Excellency 
 the Conimander-in-Ohicf, or as may be hereafter 
 ordered, from which no deviation will be allowed. 
 
 Each OHicer, on appointment to the Battalion, 
 will at once provide himself with a full and undress 
 suit, as als J with a suit of winter uniform, when the 
 season shall arrive, in accordance with the regula- 
 tions on the subject. Any neglect in this respect, 
 after a period of two months, will subject him to 
 be reported to the proper authorities for disobe- 
 dience of orders, and to be dealt with as the case 
 may require. 
 
 COMMAND AND RESPONSIBILITY. 
 
 l. The Lieutenant-Colonel, being the permanent 
 Commanding Officer of the Regiment, is responsible 
 for its general efficiency, drill, and discipline; all 
 lawful Orders given by him, or issued by his 
 authority in writing, are therefore binding on every 
 mdividual in the Regiment, and are to be obeyed as 
 Standing Orders, until altered or superseded by his 
 own or by superior authority.

 The Lieutenant-Colonel will command at all times 
 vvhen present, and preside over all meetings of the 
 Officers when assembled together. He will be, ex- 
 o^cto, a member of all Committees that may be 
 appointed To him all reports must be made, and 
 through him must pass all correspondence of a 
 pubhc nature connected with the duties or business 
 ot the iiegiment.

 In the absence of the Lieutenant-Colonel, will assume 
 according to their seniority, the command of the 
 Legirnent, and perform such duties as may be re- 
 quired ot them in accordance with the Militia Act

 The Adjutant is the direct agent or organ of the 
 Commanding Officer ; all orders, written or verbal

 and to whom alone he will be responsible for the

 of each Officer of the Regiment, whom he will duly 
 notify, when necessary, of all parades and meetings 
 of the Officers of the Regiment. He will be re 
 sponsible for the whole drill of the Regiment. He 
 will be assisted by the Sergeant>Major in the per- 
 formance of his duties, who will be under his control 
 and subject to his orders.

 This Officer will act as Treasurer to the Regiment 
 and will receive all annual subscriptions, fines and 
 funds that may accrue from time to time, for which 
 he will be accountable to the Finance Committee, 
 and make disbursements therefrom only under their 
 direction. He will keep a regular account of the 
 Regimental funds, submitting the same for exauiin 
 ation and audit at the annual general meeting of the
