taining the personal relation of the Father, Son and Hoiy
Spirit, the same in essence and fcijual in attributes ; in
the total and universal depravity cf mankind ; in the
election and etfectual calling of all Ocd's people ; in the
atoning efficacy of the death of Christ, and the free justi-
fication of l)eliever8 in Him by His imputed righteous-

in the necessity and eUicjicy of the work of the Holy
Spirit in regeneration and sanctidcation ; in the resurrec-
tion of the dead, both just and unjust ; in the general
judgment ; in the everlasting punishment of the wicked,
and the everlasting happiness of the righteous ; in the
immeision of the believer, in the name of the Father, the
 Son, and the Holy Spirit, as the only gospel baptism ;
that conununion at the Lord's table is a privilege peculiar
to baptized believers ; and that a gospel church is a body
of baptized believers voluntarily associated together for
 the service of God.

 Church Covenant.

Having been led. as we believe, by the Spirit of (Jod,
to receive the Lord Jesus (^hrist as our Saviour, and on
the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the

nann' of the Patlu r, ;uul of tlic Son, iiiid of the Holy
fihost, we do now, in the presence of (lod, angels, and
this assemhly. most solemnly and jnytully enter into cov-
enant with one another, as one body in Christ.

We engaj^e, tlierefore, hy the aid of the Holy Spirit, to
walk together in Christian love ; to strive for the ad-
vancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and
comfort ; to promote its prosperity and spirituality ; to
 sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines;
to contribute cheerfully and regularly to tlic support of
the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the
poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain fai'dly and secret devo-
tion : to religiously educate our children ; to seek the
salvation of our kindred and accjuaintances ; to walk cir-
cumspectly in the world ; to be just in f)ur dealings,
faithful ill our engagements, and exemplary in our
deportment ; to avoid all tattling, backbiting and exces-
sive anger ; and to be zealous in our etl'orts to advance
 the kingdom of our Saviour.

We further engage to watch over one another in
brotherly love ; to remember each other in prayer ; to
aid each other in sickness and distress ; to cultivate
Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech ; to
be slow to take ofii'ence, but always ready for reconcilia
tion, and mindful of the rules of our Saviour to secure it
 without delay.

We moreover engage that when we remove from this
place, we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other
church, where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant
and the principles of Clod's word.
