 A By-Law to Define the Limits of the different Stat- 
 ute Labor Divisions in the Township of Raleigh. 
 [Passed the 6th day of May, 1857. 
 
 Whereas, it is expedient and necessary to alter some of the 
 existing Statute Divisions of the Township of Raleich, and to 
 re-arrange them ; 
 
 St it thtrtfore enactf.dhy the Municipality of the Township of 
 Raleigh, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of the Muni- 
 cipal Corporations Acts of one thousand eight hundred and forty- 
 Mine, ' 
 
 I. That the existing limits of the different Statute Labor T>\' 
 visions in the Township of Raleigh are hereby abrogated, and^ 
 declared to exist no longer. 
 
 II. That from the day of the date of the passing of this By- 
 Law, the territorial limifsof each Statute Labor Division, in the 
 several Wards of the Township of Raleigh, shall be, and are 
 those hereinafter described ; that is to say, the Statute Labor 
 Divisions in the First Ward of the Township of Raleigh shall 
 comprise the lands lying in the said First Ward, viz: 
 
 The First Statute Labor Division therein shall contain lots 
 numbered 22, 21,20, 19 and 18, in the first Concession, or front 
 range, on the River Thames, with the River Road, and side line 
 between lots 18 and 19, to the second Concession by north-east 
 boundary line. 
 
 The Second Statute Labor Division therein shall contain lot* 
 numbered 17, 16^ 15 and 14, in the third Concession by western 
 boundary line, fronting on River Thames, and the like numbered 
 lots in the fourth Concession, by western boundary line with the 
 River Road, and Concession line between the third and fourth 
 Concessions by western boundary line. 
 
 The Third Statute Labor Division therein shall contain lots 
 numbered 23, 22, 21, and 20, in the second Concession by north- 
 east boundary line, with the second Concession road,and the side 
 line betjween lots 19 and 20 abutting thereon.

 Concession by north-east boundary line, with side line between 
 lots 19 und 20, and the third Concession road abutting thereon. 
 
 The Sixth Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the 
 ■outh halves ot lots numbered 24<, 23, 22, 21, and 20, in the third 
 Concession by north-east boundary line, and the north halves of 
 lots numbered 24, 23, 22, 21, and 20 in fourth Concession, by east 
 boundary line, with the Concession road abutting thereon, and 
 side Una between lots 19 and 20 abutting thereon. 
 
 The Seventh Statute Labor Division therein shall contain 
 lots numbered 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and 14, in the third Concession 
 north-east boundary line, with the third Concession road and side 
 line between lots 18 and 19 abutting thereon. 
 
 The Eighth Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the 
 louth halves of lots numbered 24, 23, 22 and 20, in the fourth 
 Concession east boundary line, and north halves of lots number- 
 ed 25, 24,23 and 22, in the eighth Concession, with die eighth 
 Concession rotd abutting thereon. 
 
 The Ninth Statute Labor Division ther-ein shall contain lots 
 numbered 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and 14, in the fourth Concession, by 
 north-east boundary line with the fourth Concession line road, 
 and sideline roads between lots numbered 18 and 19. 
 
 The Tenth Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the 
 north halves of lots numbered 21, 20, 19, 18 and 17, in the eighth 
 Concession, and the south halves of lot numbered 20, in the fourth 
 Concession by north-east boundary line, and lots numbered 19, 
 IS and 17, in block A, with the Concession road and side line 
 road abutting thereon. 
 
 The Eleventh Statute Labor Division therein shall contain lots 
 numbered 16, 15, 14 and 13 in block A, and the north halves of 
 lots numbered 16, 15, 14 and 13, in the eighth Concession, with 
 the Concession line roads abutting thereon, the side line 
 road running between lots numbered 13 and 14, and through lot 
 14 to the fourth Concession. 
 
 The Statute Labor Divisions in tha Second Ward of tha Town- 
 ship of Raleigh shall comprise the lands lying in the Second 
 Ward, viz: 
 
 The First Statute Labor Division therein shall contain lots 
 numbercd6,7, 8, 9, 10, 11,12 and 13, fronting on the River 
 Thames by western boundary line.

 The Fifth Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the

 13, in block A., and the south halves of lo*s numbered 2, 3, 4, 5,

 The Seventh Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the

 13, in Vlie sixth Concession, and the south halves of lots numbered 
 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, in the fifth Concession, by 
 western boundary line. 
 
 The Statute Labor Divisions in the Third Ward of the Town- 
 ship of Raleigh shall comprise the lands lying in the said Third 
 "Ward, viz : 
 
 The First Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the 
 north halves of lots numbered 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the ninth Con- 
 cession, and the south halves of lots numbered 2, 3,4, 5 and 6 in 
 the eighth Concession by western boundary line. 
 
 The Second Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the 
 north halves of lots numbered 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the ninth Con- 
 cession by western boundary line. 
 
 The Third Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the 
 north halves of the lots numbered 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in the eleventh 
 Concession, and the south halves of the lots numbered 2, 3, 4, 5 
 and 6 in the tenth Concession by western boundary line. 
 
 The Fourth Statute Labor Division therein shall contain the

 regulate and govern and to license Auctioneers and

 Whereas, the Raleigh Branch' Agricultural Society have, in 
 accordance with the rules and regulations of a constitution adopt- 
 ed by the Society on the 4lh day of February, A. D. 1856, ex- 
 Dended the funds of said Society in the purchase and importations 
 of Stock, to be sold by Public Auction to the members of said Se- 
 cietv ; and whereas it is necessary and expedient to encourage the 
 laid' Society in so laudable an undertaking ; 
 
 I Bi it therefort enacted by the Municipal Council of the 
 Township of Raleigh, in Council assembled, under and by virtue 
 of the Municipal Corporations Acts of Upper Canada, and also 
 bv an Act of Parliament passed in the 16lh year of the reign of 
 her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled "An Act to repeal certain 
 di'ties of excise, and to vest certain powers in the Municipal au- 
 thorities of Upper Canada," that for and notwithstanding any. 
 thin'T contained in the above-recited by-law it shall be lawful for 
 the Directors of said Society, from time to time, to appoint any 
 filtino- person or persons as Auctioneer, to sell or put up for sale by
