That Francis A. Thomas and Thomas Shaw be, and hereby are appointed Auditors for the present year, and that each of the said Auditors be paid the sum of Six Dollars, and no more. That Charles Barillier is hereby appointed Clerk for the Municipality for the present year, and that he bo paid the sum of Ninety Dollars, and no more. , That Thomas W. [Passed August 27th, 1859. ] Whekeas, by a By-Law of the Municipal Council of the County of Kent, it is provided that the Municipality of Dover East and West shall raise the sum of $1312 for County purposes for the year 1859. Whereas, by another By-Law of the Municipal Council of the 'County of Kent, the said Municipal Council of Dover is required 'to raise the sum of $237 for School rates, equal to the Government «rant for the said Townships of Dover Bast and West for th« year aforesaid. Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of Dover East and West, in Council assembled, by virtue of and under the :authority of an Act of the Parliament of Canada, passed A. D 1868, and entitled, "An Act respecting the Munieipal Corpora- tions of Upper Canada." That there be raised, levied, assessed and coUectedupon all thd rateable property, both real and personal in the said Township of Dover East and West, the sum or rate of half a cent in the doUar thereof for County purposes as aforesaid, and the sum or rate of one-twelfth of a cent in the doUar valuation for School purposes, equal to the Government grant for the said Townships of Dover East and West, for the year 1859. VLEItK. 1« \ •Y-L^Wa Of THB CVITID TOWMSHIFS \ To provide for the reimbunement of a certain loan or sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars and interest there- on, made by the Corporation of the County of Kent, under and by virtue of a certain Act of the Provin- cial Parliament, passed in the year A, D, 1859 entitled, *'An Act to enable County Councils to raise Money for enabling persons in certain cases to sow their land,^^ [Pa8«dd 19th Sbpthimbbb, 1859.] WHKaBAS, it is necessary and expedient to raise the sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars with interest thereon, from the thirty- first of March last past at the rate of six per cent, per annum, for . the purpose of reimbursing the said County Corporation the said sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars and interest as aforesaid. Be4t enacted that one- third of said sum of $1400, with interest on the same from the 31st March, say nine months, be collected by a special rate from oflF the lands and persons in a certain list hereunto annexed, and according to their respective shares or parts of said loan, being in all Five Hundred and Thirty Dollars, that this same be collected on or before the twenty-fifth December next and paid over by the Collectors to the Treasurer of this Cor- poration, and by them paid over to the Treasurer of the County Council ; that the sum of Five Hundred and Twenty-three Dol- lars be in like manner raised and collected from the said parties in the said annexed list, for the year A. D. 1860, and payable in like manner on or before the 25th of December, A. D. 1860 ; and lastly, that the sum of $495 be in like manner raised and col- leoted from the said parties in the said list annexed for the year 1861, and payable in like manner on or before the twenty-fifth of December, A, D= 186L .
