What Oat, Barley, and Flour Mills, resl- pectively, there are now in the County of York, and what additional Mills of either sort required, or may be set up and encouraged in such Comity with advantage, together with suitable and con- venient sites therefor. 2nd. What Household and Domestic Manu- factures are now principally attended to in the (bounty, (such as carding, spinning, and weaving of Cotton, Flax, and Wool, for wearing apparel, cai petting, straw hats, straw bonnets, knittings needle work, &c.. &c.,) and the probable amounts thereof respectively, and how the descriptioiw thereof may be best encouraged, increased, and made profitable in such County. 3rd. What Manufactories respectively, there are now in operation in the country, and what additional manufactories, (such as Ist. Woolen Manafactories for all descrip- tions of Woolens required for Home use. 2nd. Cotton Manufactories for the same, and exportation. 3rd. Resolved unanimously i-ThmX the sincere and hearty thanks of every member of this Society are justly due, and are' hereby most respectfully tendered to the honorable Judge Street, the re- tiring President for his constant and unremitting Httention to the business and objects of the So- ciety, tor his zeal and energy in carrying out the same, and for his 'unwavering courtesy and Itindncss to all those with whom the duties of his office brought him in contact. II. Resolved, — That the thanks of this Society, and the public at large, are jointly due to the several members of the Executive Committee for the faithful manner in which they have performed their duties to this Society. III. Resolved, — That the Corresponding Se- cretary do, without delay, address a letter to the Vice-Presidents and general Committees of this Society, the County Agricultural and other So- cieties, as also influentiS individuals to be named by him, in each County throughout the Province, to the number of ten or more, informing them that this Society must stop its operations unless with their aid, enquiring whether in the opinion of such Societies and individuals, the reports of this Society are of any use to them, whether the So- ciety does or can in any way be made to usefully operate in their County, if so whether they will give anything towards* raising the annual grant for printing the reports, and other purposes, will consent to personally assist in collecting sub- Hcriptions, and aid this Society in carrying on its work in each County, and whether they will name nny subject or subjects this Society ought to attend to, and will give their help for having it done, and that the Corresponding Secretary do keep a record of his doings and report the same to this Society at the meeting in April next. IV. Resolved, — That the thanks of the meeting be given to D.J8. Kerr, Esq., for his devoted at- tachment to the interest of the Society. Resolved, — ^That Dr. Robb, Robert Fulton, John A. Beckwithand Robert J ardine. Esquires, be a special Committee to report to this Society at the general meeting in April next on the re- ports of the various Agricultural Societies re- turned to the Secretary's office in 1854, such Committee to review and give an abstract of such reports, with any remarks that may be deemed useful.
