The Library shall be the exclusive property of the Congregation of Knox's Church, Toronto, and shall be managed by a Committee annually chosen by the Mem- bers of the Congregation, who shall submit an Annual Report of their proceedings, and of the state of the Library during the year. 2nd. It shall consist principally of Religious publications, intermingled also with a few books of general usefulness, but excluding all Novels and Romances. 3rd! The Minister of Knox's Church, Toronto, shall be ex officio President of the Managing Committee, and shall be a member of all Committees appointed for the selection of Books. 4th. The Library shall be supported by donations of Cash and Books from the Members of the Cono-resation, and occasional Collections at Sermons, or otherwise, as the Managing Committee may direct ; it shall be open to all who are connected with the Congregation, under such Regulations as may be agreed on by the Managing Committee. 5th. A Sub-Committee shall be appointed to draw up Bye-Laws for the regular management of the Library, but the above shall be considered as the fundamental Articles of the Institution. B Y E - L A W S 1st. No Person shall be entitled to have more than two Volumes at a time, 2nd. All Books must be returned in fourteen days, but should no other person apply, they may be taken for Seven days more. Penalty for not returning Books on the day due, Three-pence ; and for every night the Library is open, and such Book not returned, Three-pence ; but no Book shall be kept, on any account, longer than one Month. 3rd. Any Person losing, mutilating, or defacing Books, shall pay whatever sum shall be fixed by the Committee. 4th. Penalties incurred must be paid before parties can use the Librar}*. .5th.
