 typhus fever, shall immediately notify the Board of Health of

 diseases, uhetlier mild or malignant, exist, shall refrain from 
 mingling with children in schools, Sunday schools, Chnrches 
 or other indoor jdaces. Xo ])ii]>il shall be allowed to attend 
 the ]»ulilic schools in this Trovince who has not been 
 vaccinated within seven years. 
 
 TiTLE 10. — IJooms with their furniture, in which there has 
 existed a, case of either of the diseases named in Ifule 4, shall

 Tii'LE 11. — A jiublic funeral shall not be held for any 
 person who has died of any fif the diseases nam(.'d in iiule 4. 
 The body shall not be left unlniried longer than 2-1 hours; it 
 shall be removed in a hearse or open vehicle which shall 
 immediately tliereafter 1»e disinfected under the direction of 
 the Health Olficer of that district. 
 
 UfLE 12. — Any conveyance that has been used to carry any 
 person su tiering from any of the diseases named in liule 4 
 shall l»e immediately disinfected and liefore further use is 
 made of it; and no conductor, owner or jtroprietor of any 
 public conveyance shall knowingly carry such sick jMrson.

 ^hence inside the house or liuilding to and through the roof,

 Rrr,E 20. — All privy vaults, ces.s-pi)ols, or reservoirs named 
 in rule 19 shall bo cleaned t\rice in every year, once in tho 
 sprin;,', not later tlnn the 1st of June and onoe in the Autumn,

 place at such hours, and to be so contluctedas not to be otien-

 Rule 21. — In any City or incorporated Town, no person 
 shall empty or attempt to empty any vault, sink, privy or 
 cess-pool, or bury the contents thereof at any time excepting 
 that indicated in the preceding section without a permit from 
 the Local Foard of Health. 
 
 Rile 22. — No owner or occupant, or person having charge 
 of any property witliin the jurisdiction of the local Board of 
 Health shall cause or sutler any nuisance, source of tilth or 
 cause of sickness to lie or lie on the same. 
 
 Rule 2.3. — Swine shall be kept lik such place and in such 
 manner as not to bj offensive to persons residing in the neigh- 
 borhooil.

 Rule 27. — No deal animal shall within the jurisdiction of 
 this Board be put into any river, well, sprinix, cistern, reservoir,

 Rule 2S. — No diseased animal, or its flesh, and no decayed, 
 diseased, or unfit meat, tisb, vep^otablcs or fruit, or diseased,

 Rule 2^). — The Lo^al Health Officer may submit such 
 diseased, adulterated or unwholesome food to the public 
 analyst, who shall analyse the same, and forward his report to 
 the Local Bo ird of Health.

 whenever a case of small pox, or other disease dangerous to

 at home, separate him from the rest of the fiinuly as soon as

 glasses &c used by the sick person, should be first bathed in 
 the carbolic acid solution as mentioned in Kule 4., and after-

 Rule 0. — Xo article of food should bo allowed to remain in- 
 [a sick room, and no food or drink that the sick person has 
 basted or that has been in the sick room, should be given to 
 my one else.

 bounces of sulphate of Zinc and two ounces of common salt to

 Rui;E 8. — Persons attending on small pox patients should 
 lot wear woolen garments as they are likely to retain infection. 
 Linen or cotton dresses sliouId be worn. Instead of handker- 
 chiefs, pieces of rag, should be used, and when soiled should 
 .be burned. 
 
 m \lvL\: \). — A i)erson recovering from small pox must not be 
 ^fallitwed to mix with others until the crusts shall have entirely 
 ^disappeared, and the skin in a natural condition, and until two 
 for more warm baths have been taken, special attention being

 Rule 10. — The Physician in attendance upon the case 
 [must immediately in(|uire and be informed of all the inmates- 
 of the house who are not vaccinated, in order to immediately

 48. Any Hoard of Health already con.stituted and established 
 lor il City or Town and existinj; at the j)assinf^ of this Act. .shall 
 Continue with all the powers of a Local JJoar^ of Health undei' 
 this Act until others are appointed in their slead by the City or 
 Town Council respectively.
