 the work on new Building be suspended until funds should

REPORT OF BUILDING COMMITTER. 
 
 coming in, would permit, towa'^ds finishing the interior of 
 the part of the 'Building, designed as the Episc pal Resi- 
 dence. The Bi8li<ip and Father Hannon were reqlle^te^l to 
 empl.-y workmen and direct the work, which is now nearly 
 completed at an expendit iie of about $8,500. 
 
 The Committee also nvt again, formally on the 7th of 
 last May. 1882, reso'ved to continue the work and have a 
 collection tiken at the door of the Cathedral t«>w«ril8 pay- 
 ing for said work, such as has been in some of the previous 
 years. 
 
 Also, in the -Spring of 1880, the necps^ity for additional 
 out buildings and barn room being much felt and expressed 
 by the Bish' p. it wm resolved to get done such work on out 
 buildings and the surrounding grounds, as was coiisideied 
 nece sary— provided the payment of the debt, would not be 
 impeded. Accordingly an addition to the Barn— removing 
 and repairing the o'd house in front of College, as also cov- 
 ering ttie roof ot the long piojecting shed attached to the 
 Episcopal Residence so »h t-> make it water tight, to prevent 
 decay— and utilize it— plastering the intetior, and shingling 
 the exterior of said shed, anfl various other little trimm ng 
 works around thf* grounds such as fencing, &c.,— amounting 
 in all to about |1500— were effected that year. 
 
 Thus, in resume, the total of the receipts since last Re-

 OF THE B. C. CONGREGATION OF THE PRO-CATHEDRAL 
 
 CHATHAM, CALLED BY PUBLIC NOTICE FROM THE 
 
 ALTER, IN THE USUAL WAY, BY THE BISHOP, 
 
 AND HELD IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM OF 
 
 THK EPISCOPAL RESIDENCE, ON THE 
 
 AFTERNOON OF SUNDAY, APRIL

 The Chairman having taken the Chair, his Lordship 
 the Bishop explained that this mf;eting was now called in 
 consequence oF a resohition passed at" the m-eiing of the 
 Congregation held her^i on the 8th Oct. last, Mhich meeting 
 was then adjourned until jif er the Conference of tlie Clergy 
 of the Diocese, to be called again by the Bishop or Father 
 Bannon. 
 
 The minutes of the meeting of 8th Oct. were then read 
 by the Sec etary. Then at lequcst of the Bishop, Father 
 Hannon read th.^ r-^^port of the work of the said Conferen( e 
 of the Clergy showing that outside of Chatham $20,000 of 
 the Di(»ce8an debt had been assumed by the different Ceri^iy- 
 men. for themselves and their respec*^ive flo ks. 
 
 The Treasurer's report brought down to the jjresf nt 
 date was then read and received. 
 
 Afier discussion it was resolved that a Committee be 
 appointed to co-operate with Rev. Father Bannon, the 
 Rector of the Congregation to consider, and caiTy out means 
 to provide for the payment by the Parish of Chatham with- 
 in four years of $8000, namely, WOO towards payment of
