CONSTITUTION.

 Article 1st. — This Society shall be called "The' In- 
 fant School Society of Halifax." 
 
 Article 2d. — The object of this Society stall be to estat)- 
 li^h a School, where the Infant children of the poor may 
 be taught various tranches of useful knowledge, especially 
 to instil into their tender minds, moral and i;^digiou8 in- 
 struction. 
 
 Article 3/y/. — This Society shall he supported by r.nnuni 
 subscriptions, and donation.-^, collected by the Manag<'rs and 
 friends of the Tiistitution. 
 
 Article ^th. — This Society shall consist of a Patroness', 
 
 Vice Patroness, Treasurer, Secretary, and a Oonimittee of 
 
 twelve married ladies, who shall each app<tint two oth.'^r la- 
 dies to assist them in ti'.eir duties.

 Article iilh. — It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to keep 
 a r(!^nstor of names of Subscribers and Donors, see tliat nil 
 monies are collected, and render a statement of receijjis and 
 expenditures, at the Annual iMeeting, 
 
 Articli: 7th. — It shall be tlic duty of the Secretary to no- 
 tify all Meetings of the Society, keep a report of their pro- 
 ceedmgs, write and answer all letters relative to the bu- 
 siness of the Society, and take a general iniercst in the con- 
 cerns of the School. 
 
 Article Sth. — It shall be the dutv of the Committee to 
 superintend the concerns of the School, solicit funds, en- 
 gage Scholars, visit the School daily during their respec- 
 tive months, and meet once a month with the other Ofiicers 
 for the transaction of business. 
 
 Article 9tJi. — The Annual Meetini? to be held the first 
 Tuesday in June, the Monthly, first Tuesday in eii«h month 
 at 12 o'clock, at the School Room. 
 
 Article lOtJi. — Annual Subscribers shall be entitled to 
 the privilege of sending one of their children to the School, 
 if it does not interfere with the children of the Poor, at lOs 
 per quarter. 
 
 Article llM.—ThQ Officers to be chosen at the Annual
