Whereas by letters patent under our Great Seal of Great Bri- tain, bearing date tlie twenty-eighth day of June, in the Thirty-third year of Our Reign, we did Erect, Found, Ordain, Make and Constitute Our Provinces of Lower Canada and Upper Canada, and their Dependencies, to be a Bishop's See, to be called from thenceforth tlie Bii-hopric of Quebec.
