Masonry, or for other reasons, to grunt them the privilege of becoming Flonorury Members, have resolved ; that any Companion, who has been a Principal, or OflScor of the Chapter, and a subscribing member for fifteen years, or a subscribing member without holding office for twenty years and upwards, may, if he bo deemed worthy of that honor, on motion of any Companion, duly seconded, be, on ballot' admitted an Honorary Member of this Chapter; provided there shall not be more than one black bill against such ndmission, and that such motion do lie over for one quarter, and notice thereof bo given to each Companion in his Bummons. Companion the late Honorable Peter McGill, who died on the I th September, 1860, waa elected to the office of Fir icipal, on the opening of Saint Paul's Royal Arch <-.er, on the 15th October, 1846; but, in conse- quence of his appointment, as Provincial Grand Superin- tendent, for Canada, he resigned the office of Principal, on the 3rd June, 1847; and, on the 11th of the same month, M. E. C. the Honorable William Badgley was elected as First Principal, in his place. No Convocations of the Chapter were held between the 11th June, 1847, and the 26th December, 1849, and all the officers, therefore, originally elected, continued in their respective offices, until a fresh Election and Installation took place. M. E. Companion the Honorable William Badgley, (now Judge Badgley,) was installed as First Principal of the Chapter, on the 26th December, 1849 ; and, on the re- signation, by the M. E. C. the late Honorable Peter Mc- Gill, of the appointment of Provincial Grand Superinten- dent, for Canada, was nominated to that office by virtue of a Warrant issued by the Supreme Grand Chapter of Eng- land, under date 5th June, 1851, and communicated to the St. Paul's Royal Arch Chapter, on the 27th October, If 53. 28 M.
