Whereas it is expedient to provide for the due remuneration of the Officers of the said Township of Pilkington. Be it therefore enacted &c* _ That the assessors shall be paid as follows:— that is to say— William AUardyce sixteen pounds and Ephraim Land nine pounds. That the Treasurer shall be paid twelve pounds ten shillings. That the Clerk shall be paid twenty-seven pounds ten shillings and also for draftinff and By-Laws preparing copies for printer. That the Tavern Inspectors" shall be paid seven shillings and six- pence per day while employed. « „ . - n.
