In the introduction of the products of foreign countries, the propri- etors do not intend to confine themselves, to those alone which may yield pecuniary profit to themselves, but to obtain from various parts of the world every tree or plant which may promise to yield any benefit ; it being their object to maise their dstablishment a National Repository of every thing useful or interesting in Botany, both as regards Manufactories or Horticultural and Scientific Experiments. Visitors are allowed free access to the Establishment on all days — persons conversant with Horticulture are invited to visit their Establish- ment for their amusement, as well as in order that they may form a proper jestimate of the extent and value of their Collection. It will be perceived that numerous and splendid acquisitions have been made and great attention tias been exercised in selecting the most interesting and beautiful, many of which have been purchased at a great expense, the prices have been greatly reduced, and are lower than articles of the same quality can be obtained elsewhere.
